Day off….sort of lol

I was going to get up in the morning, do school work, as well as my usual morning routine. Then I was like, but the only thing I have to do right now, that isn’t due until Friday, is an English assignment. I wanted the day off, so I took it. I was planning to do that assignment tomorrow morning, but then I realized I work tomorrow. They hadn’t been scheduling me Monday’s much because my availability is only in the mornings on that day. I had changed it to that, a while back, so I could watch my bf play softball, and rather than change it back and forth seasonally, I left it that way. So I rarely get scheduled that day. I have changed it to just having the whole day off lol. Anyway, I can still work on that assignment after work, and I work Tuesday afternoon, so I can get that taken care of in plenty of time. So yeah, that sucks. I pretty much only had one day off this week, and I was so looking forward to having tomorrow off lol. Eh well. Anyway, I asked the new asst manager about the position for scan coordinator/vendor receiving backup position, he let me know it was posted and to go ahead and apply using the internal jobs link. It’d mean I’d have to be in there at 5 am, but it’s full time,, it’s mornings (i’m assuming mostly, if not all), and it takes me OFF of that dreaded front end. I hope I can get it, and that i do a great job at it. I’m told it’s a lot less stressful than the front end.

Most of it, I think, involves placing price tags on the shelves as the new ad changes come up. I’ve done something similar to that, but overnight. The only thing that would keep me from taking it, is that I’d have to be overnight. I can’t do overnight. So we’ll see. I’ll probably have to do an interview with the tyrant store manager again. The last time I had to, I was THISCLOSE to getting up and saying nevermind. I never had such a manager act like a total asshole during an interview. So at this point, it’ll take God stepping in, if I am to get this position. We’ll see.. I wouldn’t be surprised if they let me have it, based on the fact that most of the customer service folks don’t like me and my “attitude”. Honestly, I don’t care what they think, but THEY don’t care about the concerns of the people under them. I’ve tried more than once to get full time on the front end, and it always fails. I can’t keep dealing with 14 hours weeks where I’m forced to take more shifts just to get a decent check.

I have a 4 hour shift today. Normally I’d roll my eyes at that, but today I’m cool. I’ve worked enough hours  this week to have a check I’ll be happy with, so I won’t fuss about it. I don’t wanna be there anyway, so it’s all good lol. Now if they could hurry and do them damn bonus checks, so I can make plans with it lol. And I hope to get the FA refund soon. They keep playing with the amount. First I had the full award, then they held like over $700 (stating currently ineligible) why I don’t know. Then, it changed back to the original amount, until a couple days ago. Now it’s back to the $700+ dollars being held. They stopped allowing bookstore purchases to be charged to FA on the 7th. If it’s still showing that amount tomorrow, I’ll email and ask. I’m just confused. I mean thankfully it’s all grant money, I’m just like why does it keep changing. I took all the classes required for full time, and all 4 classes are paid for, and I have no intention of dropping any.  One of those classes starts next month.
