Previously On Mom of the Year…*Invite Update

Lily almost climbed out of the shopping cart the other day. I was standing right next to her, looking at the milk, but she’s so sneaky! An old man said "Miss?" and tapped me. I turned around with "Yes?" He pointed at my stinker. She was standing in the seat, holding onto the side for support and about to take a nose dive out of the cart. This child. I can already see many, many emergency room visits in my future.

In other news, I joined a gym. I had a free session with a trainer yesterday and he gave me a pretty good workout plan to follow. It’s definitely not going to be easy, but I’m planning to work hard to make sure I stick to it.

Next week, we attend Jared and Carly’s wedding. It still makes me giggle that her name will be Carly Carlson. Hehe.

June is my parents’ vow renewal. I ordered my dress last weekend. My goal is to have to have it taken in. I know, I know. Alterations aren’t cheap, but if it has to be taken in a size, that means I’m back to my pre-pregnancy weight. And the dress is expected to arrive mid-May, so no I couldn’t have waited to buy it until after I lost the weight, sadly. 🙁

July is the Color Me Rad run that I signed up for with Melanie and Mandi. It’s going to be so much fun. Josh, the trainer, added some running into my workouts so that I’d be prepared. We do want to actually -run-.

And … Lily’s birthday is in a month. One of Melanie’s friends designed the invitations for me. You guys … this chick did such an awesome job and I barely gave her anything to go on! I’ll post them soon.

I have a bunch of errands to run today, plus a trip to the gym, so I’d better get showered while Lily is napping.

Cat Mommy

Oh phooey, you think that’s bad? While my mother wasn’t looking I climbed up onto a shelf in the grocery store and attempted to jump into our cart. Instead what happened is I missed the cart, slammed my chin on the side of the cart and cut it open. I still have the scar from that little accident. I’m glad someone was caring enough to SAY something BEFORE Lily jumped instead of just watching her hurt herself, that’s what the people did who were watching when I jumped. I was a bit older than Lily about three, I think.

About a month ago I was in Target and grabbed a cart with a broken strap. I thought about moving the kids to another cart so I could strap L in but I didn’t. I figured he wouldn’t try to stand up and I only needed to get 2 things… yea, he spent that entire trip trying to nose dive out of the cart. I won’t make that mistake again. omg. hahaha

Love it!

ryn- I have hidden the basket in past and I drew bunny feet on some construction paper and cut them out and Chloe had to follow the bunny feet. But the past 2 years I just kind of set the baskets out. I thought next year I could leave clues in Easter eggs or something? Our house is pretty small too, there’s not many places to hide them. oh, and I’ll get the package out to you either tomorrow or Tuesday! I’ll note you with the tracking number when I get the receipt so I can’t lose it this time lol
