I have a lot to catch up on again.

First and foremost, though, I voted.  It’s not my first time, since I voted in the recall election earlier this year, but it’s my first time voting for President, Senate seats, etc.  I know that, in the grand scheme of things, my vote doesn’t count for a lot, but man I felt proud afterwards.  And, no, I will not tell you who I voted for. :-p

Last weekend, we drove down to Indiana for my nephew’s 16th birthday party.  It was really nice – except that Melanie wouldn’t let us start eating when the party started and was going to make us wait until the last guests showed up.  So I stole some chicken wings.  Which is just great because we stopped eating meat several weeks ago.  BAH!

We’re thinking about flying down to GA for the New Year, but I’m not sure if that’s going to happen now.  My mom was supposed to tell me her days off as soon as they got back to GA on Tuesday.  I finally had to text her last night.  She said she’d check when she went to work tonight.  But the price of the tickets has gone up quite a bit since we last looked at them (two days ago!!).  I’m not sure that we’ll be able to go with the new ticket prices.

Lily’s Christmas presents are just about all purchased.  Just one more small toy and she’s set.  I don’t think we’ll be wrapping anything.  It doesn’t make any sense when she can’t unwrap them.  I guess we’ll see how that goes.

Everyone here has been sick.  Lily picked up a cold somewhere and gave it to me.  Brett caught it after I started to get better.  Bleh.

Umm…I guess I didn’t have that much to catch up on after all!
