Your Opinions Count

Howdy doody.

I’m making great progress on my 101, so I think it’s time to start some of the items on the list that require help from other people.  This is where you folks come in.  All you have to do in answer the following question(s).  You can answer one or all.

1) If you could recommend only 1 song to someone, what would it be?

2) If you could recommend only 1 television show to someone, what would it be?

3) If you could recommend only 1 book to someone, what would it be?

The first 10 get listened to, watched and/or read.

Ready…go!

Edit: I was serious about recommending only 1 of each thing.

1. This one is SO HARD for me. I wish I could recommend an album instead. I’m going to go with “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea” by Neutral Milk Hotel. Just listen to it a few times through. It’s beautiful. 2. The Wire. I think everyone needs to watch it at least once. It’s well written, well produced, complex, entertaining, and informative. 3. Despite the fact that there is a movie coming out that is bound to suck, “The Perks of Being A Wallflower”.

1) I can’t remember if I’ve recommended this before, but Snowden’s Jig, as performed by the Carolina Chocolate Drops. Something about it is very haunting. 2) Community or Adventure Time – I know that’s two, but they’re both so clever and funny and I am terrible at rules. I would say Firefly but that’s been done a million times. 3)Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. Very interesting book, to me at least.

1)Wish You Were Hear – Pink Floyd 2)It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia…or Archer if you like cartoons 3)The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky (it’s something I loved when I was a teenager)
