Christening Gowns **

Edit: I should have listened to you guys!  We bought the first dress today because it was convenient – as in, we didn’t have to wait for it to ship and possibly have to ship it back at our own  expense for an exchange if the size wasn’t right.  We took it home and, on a whim, I tried it on Lily again.  She’s been a fussy little punk today and she did not disappoint while we were trying to get the dress on her.  She fussed her heart out.  Then she started screaming while she had it on.  And we got a nice big fat taste of what it would be like if she decided to be a screaming brat during the baptism.  Yeah.  We’re taking the dress back tomorrow.  It’s a little too big anyway.

I remeasured her (this time while she was actually upright and not while I was trying not to wake her from sleep) and we ordered the 2nd dress.  Which I should have done in the first place.

We took Princess Fusspot to the zoo today.  She was really good for a little while and then she’d had more than enough.  Luckily for us, we’d had enough, too.  🙂

There are three gowns I’m looking at for Lily’s Baptism right now and I can’t make up my mind.  What do you guys think?

This one is the only one I’be actually been able to physically put on her.  She looked SUPER adorable in it.  The major negative is the price.  $50 for a dress she’ll wear once.

This dress is actually my favorite so far.  The dress itself is two pieces.  The "cape" and the actual dress.  So, after the baptism (for the reception at Duckie’s dad’s), Lily can just wear the underneath dress.  This one comes out to about $40 with shipping.

(The underdress for the one above)

And, finally, this one.  My favorite thing about it is the price.  $25.  Sorry for the crappy picture, I couldn’t find it online, so I had to use the quicky I took with my crappy phone.

So…I really like the sparkles of number one, but two is my favorite because it’s different.

Go with your favourite one, and yes she’ll wear it once, but you can always keep it and pass it down to her for her own babies. xxxxxxxxxx

I also love the second one! I’m not actually familiar with baptism practices and outfits, but I think that dress is very lovely.

I love the second one. However, if it is just going to be a Christening gown that you will be throwing out later, go for the third. Its super cute also. If you intend on putting it in a hope chest for her to hand down to her daughter….the second for sure.

Love number one, very fancy and sparkley and pretty~ BUT number two is my favorite. The cape is so cute and the actual dress underneath is gorgeous!
