non-equal

There are several things that are making me anxious right now.  In no particular order, here they are:

1) housing–yes, if you read my last LIVID entry, you know that we may be moving because rent is going up, A LOT!  Kory and I have started praying about it and I think my anxiety comes right now from having to deal with the fact that we may have to move.  Leaving a place and a ward that you love is not exactly easy and I’m not ready to handle that change yet!  Also, I called the property management place that is taking over ownership of the complex.  The main lady I’m supposed to talk to isn’t going to be in until Friday.  I had everything almost tactfully planned out of what I was going to say.  I might throw a few curses or not so nice choice words in there, but for the most part it will be calm and tactful.  I talked to this other lady (name withheld for HER own protection)  and she said she spent about 4 hours researching apartment prices in the Provo area and found that our complex had been very underpriced for a long time.  Uhhh, so?  She said the price is going up so that it is around what an average 1 bedroom apartment price would be, so we would have kind of equal ground, I guess.  In this situation,  I’m okay with being not equal; I can be the underdog and I’ll be JUST FINE!  In fact, I will be more than FINE!  I will be fantastic with being the underdog, the "different" one, the non-equal.  I don’t care!  Just please, keep rent where it’s at for crying out-freaking loud!  I’m anxious to talk to this boss lady on Friday.

2) Mom and Dad are in town and I just like seeing them. Their flight should be landing soon and so I’m just antsy to see them.

3) only 25 more days of school left!!  Yeah, if that doesn’t cause anxiety, what will?  My kids are starting to sense that school is ending.  I think the warm spring weather is giving it all away!

4) Kory’s not home yet.  I like to hang out with my sweetheart!

That’s about all.

Love,

Anxious Jerseycorazon

What REALLY steams me is that rent in your complex is going HIGHER than rent in ours and we are a newer, nicer complex! It’s outrageous, seriously. You’re not the ONLY one thinking of moving because of it. Heck, being the “underdog” in something like this is actually good business, didn’t anyone ever tell her that?
