happiness is…

I know, I know, all of my entries center around school, but since that’s my life (along with hanging out with my husband) that’s what I write about.

I got NINE free books from scholastic today.  Every time my kids order $20 or more from EVERY scholastic catalog, I get free books.  There must have been more than $20 from three of the four book orders I sent home because I got nine free books! Isn’t that great?  One of my free books is about penguins (I love them, in case you didn’t know)! Okay, maybe I should move on.  I think that’s enough excitement about books for one day…but I love that my kids love the books.

Friday is the 100th day of school.  In the lower grades, that’s a big deal and my kids are expecting a party! None of the school/teacher supply stores have 100th day stuff.  BOO to them! Dang, now I have to be creative and come up with something.  For those of you non-teacher folk, we focus on 100 ALL DAY LONG! We count to 100, by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, 10’s; we read about 100 days, we write about 100 days, heck, why don’t we just eat and drink 100 days while we’re at it!  It’s going to be crazy.

The music teacher complimented me yesterday.  She said I was a great teacher and it didn’t even seem like I was a first year teacher and to keep being fantastic! YAY! That makes me happy!

Can I just say happiness is music teacher compliments and nine free books! YEAH!

Love,
Me

co0l that u got them free. happy reading

WOO!! Free books rock the house, I think! I’m glad your kids like books, that’s amazing. My brother, Caleb, has been totally getting into reading this year. He’s in 3rd grade, and it’s really cute. So, btw, with that “Slaughter Your World” there’s someone who put it to the scene in The Little Mermaid, and it’s great because it’s a man’s voice coming from Ariel. Hugs,

Well I have not yet decided, but more than likely this baby is going to be kept. I think it is the right thing to do. Thanks btw

Thanks! And no worries, there won’t be a ton of late nights. I don’t have the temperament for it. Hugs,
