Now I’m getting nervous

I got a phone call today from an unknown number. I didn’t answer it because the last time I got a call from an unknown number from that city it was spam. Today it wasn’t. When I finally checked my voicemail it was from one of the Commissioners for Executing the Office of Lord High Admiral, and she wanted to offer me “feedback” on my pending appointment.

Human Resource weenies at my company generally don’t offer “feedback” on a pending appointment they’re about to confirm.

I’m screwed.

Looks like I might have to put plan B into effect after all. Now what was the number of that truck driving school I saw on TV?
