NoJoMo, huh? and Robert’s 18 months old!!
10:46pm Well, that would be fun…writing everyday for the month of November. I can hardly sit down and write ONCE a month let alone every day!! It’s the fifth annual NoJoMo and I remember last years journaling. I always wondered what NoJoMo meant (and still do!!)
Well, I should be making an eye-glasses holder for someone at work (a nurse who’s out on leave while having different surgeries.)
But I REALLY want to journal. I wish my fingers could keep up with my brain right now. ACTUALLY, what I wish is that my thoughts could become automatically JOURNALED!! wouldn’t that be cool. Skip all the sitting down to type, bs, (cuz Ihaven’t got the time!!) But I have so much I think to journal, and never get to sit down to do so. *sigh*
I feel like my electrolytes are off. I always feel that way if I drink too much coffee late in the day at work. (as I did today) I should have a water. I know I poured one… *as I look around*
OK.
The baby turned 18 months the other day!! He also got his shots (one in each thigh – and thank G-d it was only TWO!!) THIS time I took a picture of him right before the injections, so he was prepped in position and didn’t know what was coming. He looked so innocent and vulnerable!! What a cutie. THen I had to hold his upper body while the nurse injected him. He SCREAMED/shrieked and KICKED!! (don’t blame him) AFterwards, he got bandaids. and he cried for just a little bit more. (not long) Then, later on in the evening I would remind him about his shots that he got and I’d talk to him about them. He saw the bandaids and pointed at them and said, "OWWWWW!" with a serious face!!
He now will try to say whatever you ask him to say. Some of what comes out of his mouth is pretty darn hilarious tho!! No where NEAR what he’s trying to say at times. Well, that’s not true. He’ll usually get the beginning of the word out and then jumble it all up with a couple of extra added sound effects! Usually with the toungue lolling out of his mouth or trippin around. He say’s Bu Bye, and Dylan much better now. He TRIES to say Barney. He says a version of Ice Cream. Gosh, Ireally can’t keep up with him now he’s progressing so fast.
The whole breastfeeding thing is freaking me out again. But now in a different way. I’m WAY ready to call it quits soon instead of being sad that it’s going to be over. I want my tits back!! I want to wear REGULAR bras and not the breakaway ones!! But Robert is showing NO sign of wanting to give that up!! But my milk supply is dwindling. I’m down to only 1.5 bottles that I pump at lunchtime. If I get 2 bottles I’m lucky. And Roy says Robert is bummed not having all the milk he used to have (5 bottles a day way back in the beginning). But I only pump once during work now. And I’m ready to not pump at all anymore. I figure I’ll let him nurse thru the winter for the immunity benefits and then… torture!! Poor little Zug. I think he’ll be alright. OH – I’ve been offering him different kinds of milk since he’s not into drinking the cow’s milk it seems. First it was soy. I got lucky and they were giving out samples at Costco and Robert got one and liked it!! The vanilla is SO good!! But then some nurses at my work told me about the Soy threat. The fact that it contains a hormone in it that mimics estrogen. And that it could delay puberty in boys, etc etc. And that it could bring on early puberty in girls!! But the thing that sux is he LIKES it and it has a lot of good stuff in it. I really don’t know what to do on the issue. I brought home almond milk the other day to see if he’d like that and he seems kind of indifferent about it. I want the soy milk back. Roy didn’t feed it to him at all while it was here. Just kept offering him cow’s milk.
He’s WAY into the whole skateboard thing. There’s no denying that!! The helmet ("hhhhAATTTT"), and the skateboard itself, tech decks that Dylan used to obsess over, now Robert obssesses over (as much as he can at 18 months old – including falling asleep with one in his hand!!) (got that picture!)
Oh, that’s another thing. I can’t even keep up with myself and all the pictures I take. Luckily they get organized in digital folders. So I’m real on top of that. but there’s TAGGING and stuff like that. I know it would help me, but again I HAVEN’T GOT TIME TO DO IT!! Robert really does require a LOT of attention when he’s awake – and that’s most of the day and evening now. I keep meaning to make another snapfish album to share with friends and family and never get around to it. Sometimes I really feel that I’m just not very good at organizing or running my life cuz I just can’t seem to get enough done. If only I didn’t have to SLEEP!!
I’ve been trying to give my cats more love since I denied them all the love after the baby came. Dang, they drove me CRAZY. Now they’re chilled out and I am feeling more loving toward them once again. But I don’t have the time or energy to get into cat attack mode anymore. (sorry kiddenz..)
Well, I’m stoked I got to write a little. TOmorrow is Halloween and Robert’s going to go to my friend (and co-worker)’s Halloween Party/Birthday party for her 4 year old. We went to her 2 year old’s party and that was QUITE the fun time!! Especially for kids!! So I’m sure this won’t be disappointing. I found Robert a frog costume, so he’s going to wear that!! ($3 at a yard sale, can you believe it?!) He has no idea what he’s in store for! Guess I’ll be my usual vampire cuz I can’t think of anything else to be – especially at this late date!)
K, better go bead while my eyes are still open!
Night!
ryn: teehee..yeah. He doesnt think so, which o/c makes him all the more endearing. 🙂
