Lamp falls on Robert’s head/Opossom in my garage!

Lamp falls on Robert’s head:  Roy reported that the other day while I was at work, the baby was playing in the living room and must have travelled to the wall where the lamp cord comes down from the top of the dresser to plug in the middle of the wall.  The story is that he yanked the dang lamp down onto his head.  (both he and the lamp are fine.)

and about the Opossum in my garage…  I just went in there to put some of Robert’s "old" things in the "TO GO" box and the opossum just came crawling right up and around the stuff I was working with.  He slowly slipped under my wooden shelves and disappeared beneath them.   CREEPY!  I screamed, Roy said what can we do?  So I let him be and hurried out of there!

And I didn’t even work at WORK today.  (I feel like I’m always working at SOMETHING tho, ya know?) 

I stood outside on the back balcony tonight, in the light misting rain, smokin’ a j, looking out over the view.  It was lovely. It was cold.  Crisp.  Quiet.  Everyone was in the house sleeping (Robert and Roy.)

I have just some laundry to fold and then I’m PRETTY much set for a relaxing morning.  I haven’t been taking my usual hike lately.  The last two days I’ve been holed up in our nice cozy home, out of the cold and the wet. 

ROY on the other hand has been busting his ASS working on the property.  He is trying to save our hillside, basically, and trying to prevent torrents of rain from destroying/cutting into the side of our mountain.  Already rains washed out the stairs he had previously dug.  (but they never got backed up by wood or anything)  What we need is raingutters.  Roy’s been digging and moving so much earth.  He just suffered a leg cramp and went to lie down on the couch.  Robert’s asleep in our bed.  Guess I should go peek…

I got a bit done today.  I did a deposit, a big grocery shopping at Albertson’s (and saved my 5% from a coupon…)  I took Kimmy her b-day present (a bluetooth headset), and took Dylan home from school.  I did laundry, cleaned the counter in the bathroom, did bills, banking stuff, took care of the baby.  And still I feel like I’ve slipped cuz the last load of laundry is not folded and put away yet.  I’ll probably get up and do it before bed, but Roy is on the couch making it hard for me to work out there.  Hmmm.  I don’t really want to fold laundry in the office/Robert’s room. 

oh.  while I was at Albertson’s I ran into Shannon!  It was cool cuz we both said we’d been thinking a lot of the other, but neither one had the time to stop and call!!  So she wants us to come over to hang out tomorrow.  That would be nice.  I plan on making an artichoke dip to make us fatter while we hang out (and watch Days of our Lives!!)  How relaxing and mind numbing it will be!!  Yay! And Jace and the baby can play together…??  Maybe.  I think Robert is still too young to play "with" anyone.  He may play NEXT to someone, but probably not with them.  Unless it’s Dylan, who just basically entertains the shit out of the baby!!

OK.  I should be printing pictures to go into a couple of gifts I need to make.  or folding laundry.  when what I really want to do right now is eat cereal and watch a movie.  *sigh*  maybe i’ll put one on with my wireless headphones.  What a good buy that was!!  🙂

actually, the more I sit here, the more tired I’m becoming!!  I think I’ll probably just move the baby into his crib and I’ll slip into my cloud (the bed!)

man.  I always journal when I’m just too tired.  *sigh* I haven’t even checked on any (maybe none) notes I may have recieved.  Sorry, if you’re reading me.  I’m just not juggling everything so well!!  some stuff gets left behind for now.  But hopefully I’ll catch up.
