I haven’t actually picked up this Currently Reading book in a while!! I need to catch up a bit and go to sleep cuz I work tomorrow, too…

Robert is a bit over 5 months old now, and he is changing and growing SO FAST!  I can’t believe it!   Here’s where he’s at in a few different areas:

SITTING:   I started putting him on his butt in his bathtub just a couple of weeks ago.  (removing the netting he used to lie against)  at that time he was like a little spaghetti noodle!!  He was so wiggly and HARD to keep still!  I had to use force to try to plant my hands on his hips and waist to keep him on the bottom of his little bathtub.  He’d slip out so easily!!  and he’d just splash and SPLASH like a mad baby!  (but he never went under!)  NOW, just a couple weeks later, it seems, he actually stuck his legs straight out in front of himself and SAT on the bottom of the tub and reached out to play with toys. He thoroughly enjoys his tub now!  Now he even splashes like crazy when I lie him on his netting to get washed!!   He’s been sitting on the bed and the floor.  He still wobbles over from time to time, but every day he sits better and better!  It’s wild watching the fast progression.

STANDING:  as usual, he always wants to stand.  His feet long ago stopped turnin inward and would lie flat on the floor. He sometimes will "walkey walkey" by taking steps while we say … you got it!  "Walkey, walkey!"

EATING:  He’s had baby food in jars now.  Once he had a jar for Roy’s friend Curt and I got report that he really liked it, I finally bought a bunch of baby food jars.  He’s had applesauce, pears, loves sweet potatoe, is real iffy on the peas and chicken… I have mashed him bananas before, but I don’t think I’ve given him the baby food jar of it yet.  I’ve given him cantalope, and mango.  But the chicken was kinda nasty all pureed with no spice at all.  And the peas got a real weird face too!  HOW am I gonna get him into veggies?!  I hope I didn’t screw up going for the sweet fruit first!  I LOVE fruit and wanted him to taste sweet!!  ARGH!  I hope he doesn’t have a diet like Dylan’s.  oh, get this!  Have I already journalled about him drinking out of glasses?  He’s been doing that a long time now, too!  He’s always watched us drink like crazy hard stares, so I finally gave him some water from a glass.  At first he tried to root on the glass, but I think he only did that once.  Now he gets all excited and opens his mouth and waits for the glass and he waits for the liquid to hit him and he swallows!!  What a cutie!  It usually drizzles all over his shirt, but we just tuck a towel on his chest and use that to help keep him dry.

I need to type about Roy’s BOILING OVER onto his mother the other day, and his mom called me at work,….  But I’m literally falling asleep.  More later.  G’night!
