Well.  It’s 4:30pm and I’m in the NICU stepdown unit today.  It’s been a good day so far.  I started out with little Robert scooting himself up in his crib until his head was pressed up against the head of the crib.  So I snatched his little baby body (17 klbs!!) out of the crib and taking him into bed with us.  I had to work today, and I’m thinking I must have gotten up at least 3 times overnight for the baby.  I never look at the clock so I don’t mentally prevent myself from going back to sleep.  So far it works!  I have no trouble with sleeping at night!!  yay!
Robert is getting so big and developing quite quickly.  Yesterday I took video of Roy "walking" Robert in the kitchen.  The little tyke wants to WALK!!  He’s wanted to stand and walk for a long time.  He’s getting better at it, too!!  He’s only 4 months old!
Dylan is in the 8th grade now.  We’ll see how he handles this years responsibilities.  I’ve started out the schoolyear without him having to have his teachers sign his daily planner.  If he can keep it up properly himself, then he won’t need to have the teachers sign it for him.  I left every one of his teachers a message on voicemail at the beginning of the school year (last week) and so far only 2 teachers have returned my call!!!  So sad.  Even if I try real hard to be a part of the schooling process, it’s still hard to get in contact with teachers.  *sigh*  Dylan has taken on a lot of responsibility when it comes to helping take care of Robert.  He does so well with the baby!!  Hopefully it will help him grow up even more.
Roy has been busy with all his car projects and also the yardwork.  He is busy redoing the backyard with a garden and lots of plants.  He has bamboo growing along the fenceline for privacy, and he is growing lots of other plants in our garden.  So far it looks good.  Dylan and I moved our baby pool and some folding lounge chairs down next to Roy’s shop and by the garden for our relaxing spot.  It’s pretty cool.  Robert’s first response to getting into any baby pool was to SCREAM in TERROR!!  I don’t know why, cuz he likes his baby bathtub.  So the first attempt was at Kimmy’s house where her baby happily layed on her back and kicked around in the inch of water that Kimmy put in the pool.  Robert put up such a fuss, that Kaylee got into crying too.  That was our first attempt at having the cousins in the pool together.  The next day I attempted to put Robert in our kiddie pool and he shrieked again.  This time, tho, Dylan and I got into the pool with him and he finally relaxed and then even started to play with his bath toys that I had put into the pool.  He ended up having a real good time for a while and then ate afterwards as if he’d been swimming all day!!  The NEXT day I tried to put him into the pool and I got the fear response again.  We overrode that later in the day, tho, and he had fun again.  So we’ll see what happens next time.  Maybe tomorrow when I’m off work I’ll try again.  Maybe Dylan will be able to go into the pool, too.  Depends on his homework situation.
I’m having Dylan do typing lessons at the house if he wants to use his Dad’s computer.  So he gets to view skating videos on You Tube if he takes a lesson or two.  So far it’s working and hopefully in the not too distant future he’ll be able to type without looking at the keyboard.
OK.  Well.  15 min. till my next feeding.  Better go.
