I usually don’t get a chance to write during the day (or I dont’ TAKE the chance I should say).   Baby’s sleeping in his swing.  Dylan is watching videos with Jared (Roy’s friend and son are staying in our RV while trying to catch up on bills, etc.)  I am considering going to Baby’s R Us to get Robert a walker as this child REALLY just wants to be upright all the time!

I turned him around in his baby front pack and now he can face forward while I have him strapped to me.  When he gets tired, tho, I hold his head for him while he sleeps so it doesn’t just slump forward!!  He’s 14 weeks old as of yesterday.  I can’t believe it!!  And he wants to STAND!  What a little cutie.

He is still thinking it’s time to be bright eyed and bushy tailed around 5-6am.  I TRY to get a little more sleep, but how can you sleep with little feet kicking you all over the place?!  And those bright beautiful eyes looking at you with wonder and curiosity?  I end up getting up around the 7am hour, starting the coffee, and getting ready for our walk.  He’s a pretty good kid – just fusses if you put him down!!    My arms MUST be getting stronger!!  I know my back is a bit achy as I probably don’t  hold him right, or whatever, and I’m straining parts of my lower back.  I may try to do our climb with him in the Jeep Stroller tomorrow.  I don’t know how I’ll get it up the steps that lead to the steep driveway we climb, but I’ll figure it out when I finally load him up in it and go.  I wonder if he’ll fuss all the way up my walk (as he really doesn’t like to be in the stroller so far!!)

I was just thinking today about all the "TO DO" things I had on my list right before he came into this world.  Like getting a recliner and having a breastfeeding area!  HA!  That never happened.  Now I breastfeed all over the place – thank goodness he has no problem with that.  And now we’ve taken him out of the basinette, so that needs to be removed from my closet so my clothes can go back in there.  I can’t believe how fast everything is happening.  He is growing and changing so fast, I will no longer have my baby soon.  Soon he’ll be a toddler.  Roy just had a dream that Robert was walking and SKIPPED the crawling phase!!  YAH!!  I’m starting to trip on needing to childproof our tiny little home!! Where will we put all the stuff from under the kitchen and bathroom sinks?!  I really think we need a cabinet for outside on the patio next to the washer and dryer.  Then we’ll just have to go out there to get chemicals for cleaning, etc.  But what about everything else in the house?!  All the stuff down low (there’s a lot) will probably need to be changed to baby friendly stuff.

Dylan has been doing ok this summer.  I’m still working everyday to get him to organize himself and clean up after himself.  It blows my mind, that when a caller once called Dr. Laura to find out about instilling neatness in her teenage son, Dr. Laura told the mom to lighten up!!!!!  WHAT?!  Kids should just be allowed to be unorganized slobs?!   Then what happens when they are an adult?!  They certainly won’t learn it automatically (from what I’ve seen!!)  Dylan wants to start 8th grade off his medicine, but I’m pretty sure his attention to responsibilities has not improved much and he will struggle in school even more.  What to do?  Roy seems like he’s interested in having Dylan start school off his meds too.  The weight gain is the problem.  Any weight Dylan gains over summer break, he seems to lose when he starts school and his Concerta.

I know I’m just randomly picking things to write about, but I hardly write anymore, so I’m just going with stuff on my mind.

Sissy and her husband and kids will be at the resort not too far from us on August 16-19th.  So Dylan, Robert and I should be able to join them one of those days!!  It will be neat to see Dylan hang out with Nevada, as they are the same age.  I’m sure they are very different boys, but we’ll see if they get along…  I’m sure Sissy will notice some changes in me as I am now finally a Mom.  I used to always THINK I knew stuff about how to be a mother, but nothing comes close to BEING one!!  She knew that long ago…

Roy’s been working a lot on his car/truck projects.  I get to spend time with him at mealtime and then while sleeping at night mainly.  He bought an old Datsun Truck and is trying to get it running to save on gas $$.  He said 2 weeks to get it running and it’s probably been a month or two already (and it’s not near done!!)

Our tenants in the upper house paid their rent on time and have only called with one leaking sink.  I guess I should get out our Mold Remover, as Roy will be up there later to check on his Faucet Installation job that he did this morning.

I have so many pictures and videos of Robert now.  I really want to get them organized and maybe make a photo book soon.  That takes a long time and also a computer that doesn’t crash all the time.  My laptop needs a new battery and I think this computer has a virus or something that keeps making it crash.  Better save this before the computer crashes right now!!  More later!

ps.  sorry if I haven’t been keeping up with my faves!!  Maybe one day I’ll have time to check in with you guys!  I hope everyone is doing well!

Thanks for your note. It is great that you guys seem to be doing really well after having the baby, hopefully i can adjust to things that fast. I think that teenagers having oragnization is a good thing. I had none, i still have very little and the only place i am organized is at work. I know where everything is but it is a mess. I definately need to fix that before the baby. 🙂
