Complexion

It’s when the sun hides back behind the clouds that I come back down. Come back down from a world of psychic connections of memory and desire.  The sun brings light to the paleness of her skin and she breathes in every ray of light that her body will allow.

I wonder if she burns easily.

Her two toes twist and turn on rocks and straddle the crest of the gritty surface as if she were trying to scratch an itch between then, flip-flopping back and forth as boats push in tiny tides of brown lake water to the shore of stone and dirt.

Eyes closed behind dark sunglasses as she shifts her body weight and finds a comfortable place to rest, exposing rounded white hip bones protruding from her shorts.  Her head rests on the sweatshirt she pulled off in shameless motion bringing to light the secrets of how her neck becomes one with shoulders and make something distinctly, feminine, delicate, and beautiful.

Light complexion blithe overtakes her persona and makes a friendship of the only star that would make her its enemy.  He soft sighs and sprawling posture join her words in giving thanks for an unmatched scenery where sunlight meets tall grass and water meets shore.

Peace and Love
