Random Thoughts

A day like today appears to be nothing from the outside.  I’ve accomplished nothing, and yet by comparison, every other day for a month could not compare to the day that I have had today.  In a day that progress frowns upon, I have read from four different books, thought and preformed a short comedic strip with friends, prayed for a calling in life, and looked into the eyes of a beautiful woman as if I had nothing to lose.  Days like today end in smiles, and all I can think about is the way that most would look at my day as a waste.

Here are some random thoughts:

Everyday that includes prayer and meditation seems to be less productive and more beneficial to living

Jacob wrestled the angel, and the angel was overcome…doesn’t that say something about the will of a person?

A woman’s most redeeming quality besides her beauty (which all women have) has to be the mystery of her that men cannot unravel

Any activity that ends in a group of friends laughing together is not the purpose of getting together, but the means of arriving to that point.

The unknown of one’s future is the most terrifying feeling that one can experience, as well as the most exciting

A parent’s love for a child is something so strong that one cannot begin to understand until they take up the role as mother or father

Human search for justice calls out for a standard of right or a code of morality; those who seek it in different walks of life can find kinship if they are willing to listen to each other and believe

Faith always has been a choice, just as it always will be a choice; if all things were made known to us, we would turn faith into consequence

People will refuse responsibility for the things that are their own fault and will continually take blame for things that are beyond their control

Relationships are not the endgame of the adventure, they are parts of the adventure that hold all the other bits together

Women are the ultimate frustration for men who believe that women are the answer

Claiming that one’s job or occupation to be the same as one’s identity is a beautiful recipe for disaster

The best days are not filled with work, anxiety, and productivity.  The best days are filled with friends, laughter, and love
