I’m ba-ack!

Hi all! Thanks for the good wishes. I had a great time in Edmonton. Unfortunately the weather didn’t co-operate to much. There was a lot of rain and the temperature varied from day to day between 10 – 20 celcius (50 to 70 F). However, other than that it was a really good trip. I was impressed with the size of the city. It’s bigger than I thought and was bigger than many of the other cities I’ve visited.

The hotel was a pleasant surprise too. The room had a fantastic panoramic view of the North  Saskatchewan river and parklands. The bathroom was tiled and had a pedestal sink with a granite shelf behind it. And there was another great view from the bathroom too.

I got home from the airport about 12:45 last night and it was a long uncomfortable flight. It was sooo nice to sleep in my own bed again and to have a good cup of tea this morning. (It’s so hard to find a good cup of tea when you’re travelling.) Luckily I took the extra day off work because I figured I’d need the day to rest and get caught up with laundry. I found some time to have a game of Scrabble with Dad too ‘cus I felt guilty that I wasn’t home for Father’s Day.  I bought a video tape of a British sit-com that he loves — "Keeping Up Appearances" — in the West Edmonton Mall. I found an Irish store right next to a British Isle store (go figure ) and bought him a couple of different little things that I thought he might like.

Anywho, I just wanted to pop in to let you know that I survived the trip. I’m still feeling kinda tired, so I’m off to grab din-dins and get stuff ready for work tomorrow.  I’ll be back (hopefully) tomorrow with more details of my trip.

Take care my friends.

Hugs!

I read a detailed article about the Edmontn Mall. It’s a monster place, with about everything there is, includng .entertainment. All that prosperity so far North is due to the wealth the oil fields bring
