Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there!

This is just a quick entry to say hi and share a couple of pictures with you. These are in honour of my mom, my grandma, and aunts that aren’t with us anymore.

The first one is my (paternal) Grandma. She’s sitting in her favourite chair and having a cup of tea by the fire. Mom & dad had gone over to Dublin that year for her 80th birthday. She lived to the great age of 86 before she passed on.

This one is a special picture of my mom (in the black ), and some of her sisters and one of her brothers.  They are; my aunt Sadie  (in white), aunt Kitty (in grey), aunt Bridie (in blue), and my uncle Paddy. They were at a relative’s wedding (I think). There’s only my aunt Sadie and uncle Paddy left out of the eight siblings now.

They used to have some great parties together through the years. I’m sure they’re all together somewhere up there looking down on us, while they laugh and chat over a few drinks. ðŸ™‚

I’m thankful that I’ve got so many great memories of these wonderful ladies. They’re always close in my heart especially today.

God bless all you moms out there. I hope your families show you how much they love and appreciate you. Enjoy!

Warm hugs!

It’s nice that we still have photos of our mom’s to share. We keep them in our hearts, but it’s lovely to be able to have them somewhere where we can see them too.

Sunday turned out to be busy for me and I was out most of the day. My apologies. Your dad looks exactly like his mum. I saw the pic before I read the description and knew it had to be his mother. With a grin…

RYN: Small world, isn’t it? I’m glad you’ve come through it all, too, with hope and resilience. And thanks!
