I believe that a cigarette is more powerful than a human being

When you light a cigarette it burns brightly

Although at times it dies out it still stands tall

Waiting for a flame to bring it back to life

Unlike you or me its life is short

But only because that life is being sucked out of it 

That only makes it stronger

Maybe that’s one thing I can relate to…

It gives and gives

Until there is nothing left

Or until all that generosity turns into poison

And kills you

But it’s only fair

Because you take and take

And never give back
