Part 2

Most of you are wondering “What now?” while I am still thinking “Why not?”  it only turned into a vigorous itch. It was only a matter of time before my next victim became the target. I loved her, but I loved her. She was kind enough to help me out when I needed it. She cared about the boy, but she never cared for me in the same light. She had made this too easy for me. One last fight. One last word. The itch was there and I had to scratch it.

It was a wonderful full moon outside. I could make out the trees in the background. The blades of high grass stuck out like angel wings. This Hallow’s Eve could not be more perfect. The jack o’ lantern was still lit even though the tricks and treats had left hours ago. There I stood there within the beams and felt the power rush through me. The evil during this Witching Hour was very strong and I absorbed every spark as I made my approach.

The home was a medium sized mobile home. The rooms were adequate enough to maneuver around quietly from what I remembered. I walked around back to the entryway. It was a very smooth and whispering invasion. I could hear the fan from the living room on full speed. You would have thought an airplane was landing there if not for the chainsaw buzzes coming from the living room recliner. The hubby was asleep as I presumed. He had been confined to the chair for awhile. There would be no trouble lurking there. The room I was headed to was around him and in the corner of the massive living area. The stove light had been left on so it made it quite easier to see. I slid quietly to the stove to the wooden block that held the knives. I picked up the cleaver, it didn’t feel right at all. I placed it gently back and picked up the thirteen inch slicing knife. I dazed out.

I had always been fond of Michael Myers. He was a hero in my eyes. His ability to withstand pain and the natural healing of his wounds were always intriguing. He was the genuine monster that anyone was truly afraid of being chased by. Bullets, knives, clothes hangers to the eyes, they just never hampered his intent of killing his victim. His moves were as silent as night. His mask showcased every emotion he felt within the shadows. He was and still his my hero. Tonight was to be my homage to him.

My Laurie/Jamie Lee lay just beyond the snoring bear. The latex gloves were starting to tighten to my hands from the excitement, the knife twisting quickly in my hand. I looked the bear over twice then moved toward the room. I opened the door slowly and let my eyes adjust to darkness. The moonlight from outside begin to creep through the open bathroom door. I stepped into the power and stared at my Jamie Lee. It felt like hours had passed. My legs were tense, my arms heavy, before she even rolled from her side to her back. I wanted to see her eyes when this occurred. That sense of satisfaction had to be enthralled upon me. It was my drug of choice now. Murder. Cold and unremorseful.

As she rolled her eyes battered to the light, my hand reacted like a bear trap and snapped her mouth closed. He body thrashing, but silenced by the memory foam mattress. My grip was too strong for her to break, much resembling the smile that was now encased within my cheeks. I placed the blade next to her sweating throat then leaned down after the shark thrashing stopped abruptly. My mouth met her ear, I whispered “You knew this was coming. I will always love you…..Mother.” I shoved the blade until the hilt hit bone. I was surprised at how her eyes lit up and only a small gurgling seemed to peep from her mouth. She died a lot faster than I had anticipated. The thrill was there, but there was no excitement. I struggled with this feeling, but it dawned on me that I still had to get away with this. The formula lapsed back into my mind. I walked into the living room and placed the utensil into the bear’s cave. Simple fix. Quick and quiet getaway. Victim number two was now dwelling in the darkness.
