Chaddsford Winery = Love
Yesterday was my first wine festival. And I am in love. I’ve always strayed from wine. But at the Chaddsford Winery I fell for wine. It was so fun! They had booths throughout the building of different wines they make. I’m not a big fan of red, I gotta say. I wasn’t really feeling the alocohol, which was weird because we got there at 12:30 and I had woken up at 11 and hadn’t eaten anything. We bought a bottle of Spring Wine and went outside. There were people everywhere. All the tables were full and people had picnics out on the grass. We found a spot to put out our blanket and I got out my PB&J sandwich I made to save money. Roommate and our friend, Andy, bought food. After my first glass of wine the drunkenness hit. I continued to drink anyway. It was sweltering hot and we were in the sun. Andy had to go to his car and change into shorts because he had jeans on. I hiked my skirt up and stripped down to my tanktop. Roommate hiked up her dress. We were covered in sweat. But it was so fun. Being around drunk people. Talking with friends. Eating.
We finished the bottle and went for a second round of trying wine. Roommate and I stood this round out. We walked with Andy while he tried them again. I knew I was too drunk to have more. We had intended on buying another bottle but decided to hold off until I sobered up a little. We bought cheese and crackers and tried to fill ourselves with them. I started feeling a lot better but we decided we were happy enough and didn’t get another bottle. We were there for four hours. We moved to a shaded spot. It was great. Beautiful out and they had wonderful live jazz/blues music.
Wonderful little afternoon.
