And yet…

When the darkness falls around you, do you fear to see the light?  When the voices all demand do you seek to fight their fight?  Do you fear the never ending or do you embrace the night?  Should I not forgive you for all in all its right?

Vivid white against my eyes

Taunting me with its lies

Such to seek such to know

Anything that breeds below

Vivid white, so virgin pure

Vivid white, no pain endure

Spilling innocence like golden sand

Pouring from the punctured hand

Innocence tested never

Purity that does endeavour

To shut out all the world

Remaining forever pure.

My purity gone

My soul raped

My heart broken

He did take

Years ago

the purity

Years ago,

still haunts me

Leave it be

Let sleeping dogs lie

They come to me

And they cry

Their biting jaws

Clench my skin

Waves of pain

Diving in

Memories

Coming fast

Innocence

Lost at last.

Circling thoughts of anger and pain

Circling thoughts remain to stain

Vivid white pure and sweet

Ruby red spills and bleeds

Lost among the ruby lands

Gentleness in the stainless hands

Biting sweetly into fruit

Lo and heed all but truth.

Not to say, naught to know

Even through the dark and low.

I look above me and I know

There is no love down below.

Inky sky with pinpricks bright

Welcoming me in the night.

Darkest velvet gentle touch

Whispers of leaden touch

Metallic ringing brings me near

Quiet pounding in my ear

Sufferance of night to day

Longevity of night delay.

Heavy hands bring me here

That is all, all I fear.

Your words flow free and true. They are slow and full of beauty. They do not hide in the shadows but rather shine bright. You are a talented poet and I thank you for sharing your words with us. May you find everlasting peace, love, truth and harmony. ~Daniel
