Things I’ve already remembered I need to add
Basically a suppliment to the previous entry. Probably the first of several.
I forgot to mention that after our talk Friday night it no longer tore at me to hear him playing the Billy Joel. That was a good sign, not even a good sign, a good thing.
He’s been working on the silk at the Studio, so he’s got arm muscles and abs. He’s still tiny skinny, as always, but wow is he in shape. He’s beautiful in the water. He’s pretty beautiful out of the water, too.
Yesterday we went for a night swim, my first night swim ever, and then we both showered so we felt clean, and we drank hot ovaltine and talked and listened to music in my room until 2:00 in the morning.
Today I watched him go up that escalator in the airport…the same one he went up at the end of the exchange…and it was amazing how different it was from then. There is no fear that this will be the last time we will see each other. What we have is simply too special. Three years ago, it was saddening that I might never see him again. Today, it was devastating that I won’t see him for five months. I’ll see you at Christmas, he said. Well, he’d better.
