round the corner lies a world of opportunity
I finished writing my movie. we filmed it. we recorded the soundtrack. and considering ‘we’ are two people, our movie (all 80 minutes of it) is being shown in a local cinema soon. I could not be more proud.
Don’t get me wrong, Speilberg isn’t exactly crying over the new kid on the block, but the film, the black & white B-movie musical set in a science lab and chock full of 1980s references and bad continuity, is something i am immensely proud of.
Before the premiere next month, my best friends get married. it’s exciting. I wish them love and luck.
After all these events it’s panto time. Again. It’s money, but one of my favourite people won’t be there this year, she has been asked to work somewhere else and i will miss her company, hugs and banter for 7 weeks.
2014 holds more of the same silly wonders as this year, along with hopefully many trips to film festivals to promote ‘The B Project’.
I have immense pride in this year, and a distinct fear that i will have an enormous feeling of emptiness when the premiere is done, but fortunately there is always another challenge round the corner.
I haven’t done some of the things i said or thought i might this year, but they obviously weren’t as important. i’m glad this diary is here to remind me every now and then.
