now it starts
it feels like the end of April has been an eternity in coming.
My musical commences rehearsals next week, after finally having our read-through tonight, and it’s excellent seeing everyone gelling together and setting the tone for what will be fun over the next 3 and a half months, as we take something small to the biggest Fringe Festival around.
Edinburgh Fringe is a big deal, regularly attended by big names in theatre, comedy, music and dance from across the world, and we are part of it. That’s pretty huge and we’re rightly very proud of ourselves.
We have done lots of fundraising, and we still need to make £3000 before the start of July, in order to pay the remaining balance for our accommodation for 20 people for 2 weeks. It’s not a cheap event, the Fringe.
But right now, i don’t care. I’m excited.
In other news, rehearsals also started for my local amateur production of Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, and i’m very lucky to be playing Sweeney. It’s going to be hard work, but at least we have until November with that one!
Also got lots of gigs coming in, work is picking up, and i’m seeing lots of great gigs lately. Time Minchin, Russell Howard and The Feeling seen, Derren Brown this week, Peter Kay, Bill Bailey, Lee Evans and hopefully more still to catch.
By the way, you can like the show, and boost our numbers by checking out Shhh… the Musical on facebook, or twitter @shhhthemusical
Pointless ranting done, thanks for bothering to look. It means a lot to me.
