NoJoMo Day 8

Today’s been kind of a lazy day.  I was up late last night, so when the Comcast guy called me at 10:30 to let me know he was here, I had to hurriedly throw on my jammies and let him in.  We had to get our modem replaced and so far, so good as far as the internet troubles we were having.  After he left I checked my sugar (115..yay!), took my shots and pill, and made myself a low cal, low carb breakfast.  I should’ve had milk with it, but I was craving a regular Coke, which I haven’t had in forever, so I had one of those, and damn, my blood sugar went nuts!  Almost up to 300…so I had to go take a small shot of regular insulin.  Well, that sent my blood sugar plummeting…down to 51.  So I ate some sugar-free pudding and now it’s back up to 70.  I’ll take it.

So other than battling with my blood sugar, I’ve done a whole lot of nothing today.  Talked on the phone, watched some tv, cleaned up the kitchen.  I think I’ll finish folding and putting away the towels when I’m done here.  I should also work on my room some more, but I’m not feeling THAT inspired.  Tomorrow….I’ll do it tomorrow….I swear!

I have been an ordering fool these past few days!  I’ve been ordering Christmas gifts online, and I am loving how I don’t have to leave my house, or my pajamas, to shop!  I’ve ordered my BFF’s, her husband’s, my oldest granddaughter Bella’s, my son’s, and one of my hubby’s.  I also bought two gifts for my daughter-in-law when I was at the store a few nights ago.  I was really hoping to go see my son and his wife the week before Christmas, but I just don’t think I’m gonna be able to afford it.  I’m disappointed as hell, but if I can’t see him at Christmas, then I’ll make sure I can get out there in the spring….maybe around his birthday, which is in April.  And instead of going to Evansville for Thanksgiving, I think I’m just gonna stay home and hubby and I will have a nice, quiet, long weekend together.

Oh!!!  That reminds me…..I started reading the first Fifty Shades book last night, Fifty Shades of Grey.  I have to say that the writing is poor and she author is so freaking repetitive that I’d smack her if she were standing in front of me.  That being said….I also have to admit that I am freaking hooked!  Look at my OD name….submissive angel….and that should explain why I’m so enthralled. 😉

I’m meeting a friend for dinner tonight at Texas Roadhouse.  I doubt I’ll eat much, if at all, thanks to the shot that makes me nauseous, but they have a FABULOUS frozen peach margarita, and I will definitely have one of those!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day….and more productive than mine! 🙂  Much love….xoxo

have a frozen peach margarita for me, please! that sounds so incredibly yummy right now! man, it bugs me when books that are so poorly written become such best sellers. that’s how i felt about the da vinci code… the writing was SO freaking horrible, so bland. it would have been worth more to wipe my ass with it than it would have been to read it. unfortunately i had to for a class.i’m sure there are much better books about d/s and the like out there! glad you’re getting some enjoyment out of it, even if the writing is poo! big hugs to you 🙂

I keep wondering if I should bother reading 50 Shades of Gray, but I keep hearing that the writing really sucks. Not sure I could get past that enough to be turned on by it. 🙂
