I should be working

…but I’m lazy as we established long ago, and I was reading Julie’s diary and saw this so thought rather than improving my mind and working towards getting a good degree, I’d do this instead.

1. What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before? Chop wood. Mend an oil boiler. Live in the countryside. Stay in a relationship for longer than a month. Smoke. Get drunk on my own. Truely believe I was going to die. Live in the middle of nowhere.

2. Did anyone close to you give birth? No

3. Did anyone close to you die? No

4. What countries did you visit? France

5. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?  Love

6. What was your biggest achievement of the year?  I suppose getting through second year exams.

7. What was your biggest failure?  Not sorting my life out. Not managing to stop cutting, obsessing about food, loose weight, find love, get some proper work done, be nice to my parents.

8. Did you suffer illness or injury? Colds, generalised viral lymphadenitis, self harm.

9. What was the best thing you bought? Probably a CD

10. Where did most of your money go?  Food. About £15 a day on bloody binge food. Clothes since I’ve put on so much weight. Going to the cinema but I don’t mind that.

11. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going on holiday.

12. Compared to this time last year, are you:

Happier or sadder:  happier

Older or wiser:  obviously older, by a year right?!? But yes, I also act much, much older, far more mature, and I think far wiser.

Thinner or fatter:  Definitely fatter. My clothes don’t fit now.

Richer or poorer:  Well, I’ve gto £2000 in student loan, but if it wasn’t for that I would be poorer.

13. What do you wish you’d done more of?  Work, being nice to my parents, spending time with my parents.

14. What do you wish you’d done less of?  Stupid things like self harm, bingeing, smoking, drinking.

15. How will you be spending Christmas?  I spent Christmas with my parents. My sister was in Hawaii.

16. How will you be spending New Years Eve? I spent New Years Eve at a pagan festival with people carrying burning tar barrels.

17. Did you fall in love in 2004?  At the very end of 2003 leading into 2004. Got my heart broken.

18. How many one-night stands?  None.

19. What was your favorite TV program?  ER

20. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?  I thik it’s more a case of people annoying me, and the more time I spend with them the more chance I have to get annoyed by them.

21. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 21 and I went for a meal with friends, clubbing and to the cinema.

22. What kept you sane? My beautiful piano.

23. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?  I dunno. Lots of little crushes I think, with anyone fanciable in the latest film I’ve watched.

24. What political issue stirred you the most?  Not a clue. I never really know what’s happening in politics.

25. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year: You’ve gotta go there to come back.

[in the year 2004] how many boyfriends/girlfriends?: 3

[in the year 2004] how many breakups? 2

Do you have a UGC Cinema near you? UGC offer an Unlimited Card for £9.99 a month, and you can go to the cinema as many times you want a day/week/month.. all for the set price. I’ve had a UGC card for a couple of years now, which is handy, and much cheaper if you go to the cinema a few times a week.

I don’t start uni for another month and a half. Lucky me! The thing about the bank accounts is funny, why don’t you just close the other 4?? Your not going to earn much interest on the amount you have in the accounts anyway. Anyways thanks for the notes, take care, bye!

I went to see White Noise and The Aviator tonight. White Noise was okay. A little disappointing – someone told me it was really scary. Should have known it wouldnt have the same effect on me. There was only one ‘jumpy’ part in the whole film. Otherwise, it was okay. A little slow and boring at times. Oh, and the ending was complete crap. Have you seen it? What did you think? – julie x

As for The Aviator – I really didnt want to see this. I only went because my brother wanted to see it – and it was a bargaining tool because I made him see Lemony Snickett with me last week and he didnt want to watch that one. So we went to see the Aviator. To be honest, it wasnt my type of film, and I was bored quite a lot. It perked up half way through, but then spiralled again….

…. I have to say though, I’ve NEVER been a fan of Leo, and have hated him passionately since.. well, since Titanic … but I changed my mind in The Aviator. I thought he was excellent. I take back my nasty comments, and say he’s one talented blokie. He really was very good in this :o) – julie (leaving unsigned notes wherever I can because OD just keeps signing me out anyway!)
