Started Badly
Well today started pretty badly with me throwing coffee over the breakfast table. It almost made me late for the train, but I arrived with a minute or two to spare. Then Kira texted me as I was arriving at the office to say that she was taking a sick day. So here I am, all alone. No one to play with!
I actually have some proper writing work to do at the moment. That doesn’t happen too often these days.
I just read that Abu Qatada is to be bailed after he successfully appealed against deportation to Jordan. This is why the British don’t want anything to do with Europe. The appeal only took place because a previous appeal to the European court ruled that he couldn’t be deported. Why are EU judges dictating domestic policy? It will end in tears I tell you.
On a related note, it would appear that in a little over 12 months time the UK will be forced to open its borders to Romanian and Bulgarian nationals. Personally, I’m not against immigration. I’d let anyone in if it was up to me. No one would get any state benefits, but they could all come here and work as far as I’m concerned. What gets me is the fact that Europe seems to be telling Britain what it can and can’t do again, and Britain appears to be bending over and taking it up the downpipe again. Gets up my bloody nose!
The jury has retired to consider its verdict in the Margaret Moran case. I can’t see what will happen here. The jury has been told it can’t find her guilty of anything. Instead they must decide if she has committed the alleged transgressions and whether the transgressions constitute a crime. I can’t exactly see the difference. I’m amazed at how little sympathy I have for her. I assume she will be locked away in a psychiatric ward if they can’t piut her in prison. Hope so.
Meanwhile, the BBC is committing hari kiri and trying to eat itself…

RYN: because that person was wrong and the name is wrong. Someone named who they thought it was on Twitter- wrongly. That name can now be revealed to be Lord McAlpine, whom the accuser thought was dead; I believe he was thinking of someone else. Like I say, the Beeb is trying to eat itself. Entwistle shouldÂ’ve stayed. And she’s “unfit to stand trial”, apparently.

Ah no I remember you did and I replied, someone else asked me more recently. I should probably look through my notes and not be lazy! How are you anyway? X

Surely that means it’s time for a naked bike ride in this November fog then?!
