kinky weirdos or closet trannies

There are a couple of news stories that interested me this morning…

It would seem that the Dutch tolerance of soft drugs, most notably cannabis, is starting to become a problem for the government. Since 1976 the sale and use of cannabis in coffee shops has been tolerated in the country. I don’t understand the finer points of the law but it would seem that, although still technically illegal, the police turn a blind eye to people carrying small amounts of cannabis and to people growing it for resale in coffee shops. The problem appears to be the fact that decriminalisation has created a tourism industry which in turn apparently causes anti social behaviour in border areas. Since last October the stronger skunk varieties have been reclassified as a hard drug and are no longer available through coffee shops. Now the government is to experiment with a ban on foreigners buying cannabis. The ban is to start in a limited area and spread nationwide later this year. Locals will be required to register for an ID card which would be required to buy cannabis.

There is significant opposition to the ban however. If the ban goes ahead it will affect more than just the cannabis outlets. The tourism industry in general is dependent on the drug tourism business. Bars and shops will suffer if the foreign pot-heads don’t come and spend their money. As such, all the local retailers are against the ban, as is the Amsterdam Mayor. Well, he presumably wants to be re-elected. The local pot-heads are also against the ban because they will be required to register for an ID card to carry on doing something technically illegal.

And here comes my personal view. The Netherlands are reaping what they sowed in 1976. All those people in UK who think it’s a good idea to decriminalise weed, take a look at Amsterdam and ask yourself if you want that for UK. I don’t.

Margaret Moran, disgraced Labour MP who swindled the public out of tens of thousands of pounds through dubious expense claims, has been found unfit to stand trial. I don’t know whether I’m pleased about that or not. Personally I think she should be in jail, but a lunatic asylum would probably be OK too. I suppose the trial can go ahead without her. Of all the scum-bag MPs who were busted in the expenses scandal, I think Moran was the most disgusting, with the possible exception of Eliot Morely. Morely was at least man enough to take responsibility and stand trial. He went to jail. As I remember, Moran and her husband had three homes, each of which she designated as her “second home” at one time or another and refurbished at the tax payers’ expense. The final bill was something like £80,000. One of her homes was in Southampton, a hundred miles from her constituency of Luton, which she had treated for dry rot at a cost of £20,000 or something.

Has anyone else been reading about this guy working for MI6 who ended up dead, naked, and locked in a sports bag in his flat? I can’t believe the inquest has got so complicated. All this talk of murder and conspiracy is unbelievable. I can’t see anything very suspicious. He was just a kinky weirdo who managed to lock himself in a bag. His landlady has even testified that she once found him tied naked to a bed. He has a history of it. He also had £20,000 worth of ladies’ clothing in his own size in his flat. It doesn’t really take a genius to work it out does it? My guess is he was a closet tranny. I haven’t got anything against kinky weirdos or closet trannies by the way, I just think the case has been somewhat over-analysed.

I’m thinking about having a spray tan. I don’t exactly want one. I just wonder what the experience would be like. I looked to see if there were any places near me that do them and there are. They seem to cost about £20 and there are even some people that come to you. In fact, I read that you can have tanning parties. That strikes me a as really good idea, because it involves people taking their clothes off. If you can combine that with alcohol and maybe pizza, I think all the ingredients for a great night are right there.

Unless someone did do him over knowing full well about his secret kinkyness? Spray tans.. Cold. They feel cold. Fake tan isn’t very nice to be honest. Use coloured bed sheets if you actually do it – white things will turn orange.
