Happy St George’s day everyone.

I know this sounds silly, but I’m sort of thinking about taking up running. I used to run at school, and I really could use some exercise. Someone at work this morning shared this link with me. It’s a 20 week marathon training plan. I’m not sure I want to do a marathon, but I really should do something. This idea will probably pass. It’s likely just a mild mid-life crisis thing.

The weekend was busy. We started to fill up our new freezer. That involved a trip to the Chinese supermarket and the conventional Tesco. I took the car to the garage for an MOT. It has an intermittent headlight problem. I’m hoping it will behave itself for the test today. It was working when I left it last night. We got a new phone package for the dragon. She now has a smart phone, despite telling everyone for years that she was never going to get one. She’s discovered that she likes What’s App and Plurk for Android.

So here are a couple of pictures from Taiwan, the land of bright lights, bamboo, bicycles, and sushi.

Here are some pictures from the Maokong cable car. It’s a 4km ride, and we took a gondola with a glass floor. The dragon thought the boy would be scared, but actually, he had no problem at all with it.

And no trip to Taiwan would be complete without Taipei 101.

And finally, here’s a picture of the boy’s head. We had to get him checked out after he smashed it on the bathroom floor.

There are some more pictures to come, including me eating pigs’ eyes, but I think that will do for today.

running doesn’t sound silly at all, sounds like a great idea. have you heard of ‘couch to 5k’? it’s very popular because it builds up from nothing so is suitable for novices. these pics are fab but i might give the pig eyes ones a miss! .

Beautiful pics. About taking up running, it is very intense exercise but it is also injury-prone.
