Muppets

Freddie Mercury would have been 65 yesterday apparently. Personally I think the Muppets’ version of Bohemian Rhapsody is nearly as good as the original Queen version. If you want really good Muppets however, you can’t beat Rama Lama Ding Dong in my opinion.

There appears to be a Typhoon blowing today.

I’ve lost my office security pass. We’ve only been in the office about a week. I think I left it on the train. There should be a prize for the idiot that loses his pass first.

No one here knows how to use the new office phone system, it’s hysterical. The office is alive with phones ringing, lights flashing, and people swearing. The handsets really are massively over-complicated.

Maragret Moran is facing 21 charges relating to her questionable expenses claims. About Bloody time! Her claims were unbelievable. She was actually MP for Luton South. At one time she designated her house there as a second home and had it refurbished at taxpayers’ expense. She then switched her designated second home to her London property and had that refurbished. Then she designated her partners’ Southampton property as her second home and claimed over £20k to treat that for dry rot. The Southampton house is almost 100 miles from either her constituency or Westminster. She was caught red-handed but denied any wrongdoing. She justified her expenses claim for the Southampton property by claiming it was necessary so that she could have a family life. She’s never apologised or admitted guilt, though she did agree to repay at least some of her expenses in instalments.

In addition to her questionable second home claims, Moran is also facing charges over forged invoices it seems. The woman appears to be completely devoid of morals. It’s been two years since Moran’s case came to light, but the inquiry was delayed due to her poor health apparently. The only downside to this story is the fact that Moran is now likely to go to prison and cost the taxpayer even more money.
