Cage Phase
My Jack just handed me a diaper and "assumed the position". He turns 2 in March, he loves Carmex. He’ll put it in my hand so I can take the lid off and hand it to him. He’ll over apply and hand it back to me so I can put the lid back on, take it off, and give it back to me…then repeat process several times.
My Lauryn has a mouse. My Jack will grab my legs and push me towards the cage. He’ll raise his arms expectantly and I oblige every time. We open the cage and we have serious mouse conversations. He has a mickey book he’ll give to me, and he’ll discuss that at length as well.
He’l hand me my shoes, he is an outside boy. He’ll find his own shoes and bring them to me. When we go outside, he has Lauryn’s old stroller he’ll push all over, then he’ll take it to the sidewalk…grab my legs and position me in front of it. I’ll…take a seat and he’ll push me down the hill. Sometimes he’ll drag it towards the street and once he’s stopped he’ll climb inside. We take a stroll up to Caseys General Store and he’ll always pick up Trident Gum.
When I close the mouse cage and we start to head downstairs, he’ll whip his head fit style. Without a word from him, just his obvious gestures…that’s ok Jack…I can wait for your words 🙂 Other than the mouse fights, and his constanty wanting to stuff his face and sweep, he is very easy to get along with. Absolutely endearing…
Every place we move, a pit bull lives next door. One that is alowed to run wild. This ones name is ‘Lucy’. We were tolerant, didn’t want to make a fuss being new…but yesterday on our walk I saw that damn dog charging my Jack. The neighbor came over and I yelled at him. He kept saying she’s ok, she’s a good dog. I yelled at him saying I Cannot risk Jack on your word. Keep your dog on a leash or I’ll get it in trouble 🙁
My other neighbor is fighting to make this town a ‘wet’ town. I hadn’t heard the term before, it means this town would be allowed to sell alcohol and she came over yesterday to tell me all about how much revenue the town was missing out on and how businesses were refusing to come here because they can’t sell beer with their pizza. Hubby and I said we would register to vote here so we could vote on her behalf. She is also coming to my next Texas Holdem party. She is an older gay gym teacher and the night Dan and I went out for Halloween we met a good friend of that neighbor. She told me how the neighbor was so serious about making this town wet and not even a week later, that neighbor came into my kitchen and told us to register to vote.
I got invited to a jewery party and met a gal that wanted to be friends. She texted me for awhile and I started to think she was okay, but I never put her name in my phone. I didn’t think I’d like her.. I decided to use the trick, I want to make sure I have your name spelled right in my phone…how do you spell it? She typed back…T-I-N-A…DUH 🙁 ohh well..
I’ve also got a funny entry about Todder Heads being made of concrete, I Love Jack and Lauryn…
