Weekend and date night!

Hey everyone,

     Man I can’t believe the weekend has come and gone already, it went by so fast. Here is what I have been doing the last few days…

Friday:

    Went to work, traffic was a breeze, I couldn’t believe it. Work went well, but kind of boring, I think mostly because I was looking forward to leaving to go home. After work I headed out of town. Traffic was amazing, I got out so quick and was back in Elkhart in 2 hours. I then met up with Lindsey and Troy at the mall, she was there to get her hair cut. Troy then left us to go to the store to get stuff for dinner. Lindsey and I then left later after her hair cut was finished. We headed back to her apartment and ate dinner. Then Lindsey and I proceeded to scrap till about midnight, I got 12 pages finished (ok my finished right now is everything but words on the pages). It is looking like I will have a good 150+ pages in this book for the wedding. Then I will have another book for the honeymoon. I know it is a lot. I then headed home tog o to bed.

Sat:

   I woke up with a long list of things I wanted to get done. First I went to the supply house with my mom to get some shampoo and conditioner because we were almost out. After that I came home and was going to go to the bank, get gas for my car and get my hair cut, however, as I left my house my sister calls me and tells me I have a flat tire. So i get around the corner and pull in the neighbors driveway, sure enough a flat tire. My father helps me put the spare on and we go to a few places to find out how much. They were rather expensive so then we went back tot he house to call around to a few more. I needed to replace both back tires anyway because they were the original tires that came with the car in 1998. Finally we found someone to do it at a decent price, mind you I still haven’t gotten gas. Thankfully the place wasn’t too far and they got me right in. I now have 2 brand new tires on the back of my car $138.15 later. After the tires were fixed I headed to get my hair done because the bank was now closed. Three inches off later I left the hair salon. I went there because an old friend of mine works there and it was a way to kill two birds with one stone. I will have to take pics with the new hair cut and show you all. I haven’t had it this short in a long while. After the salon I headed out to Lindsey’s so we could go to Hobby Lobby and JoAnn Fabrics for a few supplies. Then we headed back to her apartment and scrapped again, I mostly just planned what pictures were going to go on what page, I will have 28 pages for the ceremony. I then later left there because they were headed out to dinner. After I left there I caught up with my parents for the Elkhart Jazz Festival. It was nice to just be out and about with my parents. I ate some beef tips with mushrooms and mashed potatoes from the festival. I had also stopped into my favorite coffee shop and got a Fruit Smoothy, I love them. Later my parents and I went into Stirred, it is a Sushi and Martini bar, and we all got a martini. I tried a aciatini, it was basically a blueberry smoothy with alcohol. We then finally headed home to go to bed to get up for church.

Sun:

    We finally got up to go to church. My sister then joined us and we all went together. After church we headed out for our customary breakfast at Le Peep’s. After breakfast we headed over to see my great grandmother. She recently has been in and out of the hospital and right now they have moved her to the assisted living portion of the community she lives in, she apperantly hates it there and can’t wait to get back to her other apartment. It was noce getting to visit with her though. Upon leaving there we headed back to my parents house so that my father could leave to go to the Farm and my mother, sister and I could go to a bridal shower. First we stopped though at the supply house again because my mother thought she had some conditioner I could have and didn’t and my sister also needed some more shampoo and conditioner. We then headed out to Middlebury for the bridal shower. My best friend Raeann is getting married in Aug, I am just so happy for her. The shower was a blast. My sister got wrapped in a toilet paper wedding dress. I forgot my camera though and will have to wait to have Raeann and her mother send me some pics to show you. After the shower I headed home, packed my car and drove back to Chicago. The traffic though this time was not so great, it took me 2 hours and 45 mins. When I got home my hubby and I did a quick dinner at Boston Market and then made a quick run to the grocery store. Finally, I got to relax for a little.

Mon:

   Yesterday traffic in the morning and afternoon were great again, I am hoping not to get too used to it because I know it will slow up again soon. After work I headed back home to meet up with my husband for our Date Night. About once a month we try and set a date to go to dinner and a movie or something of the sorts just for us time. Yesterday we went to Carrabas for dinner and then to see Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End. Joe got the tickets early so we didn’t have to wait when we got there. Upin arriving in the theatre we were confused. There were not rows of normal theatre seat but rather rolling comfy desk like chairs and a bar in each row. We preceeded to take two seats. We then see a menu and realize they serve us food. We wish we would have known this before we came because then we would have just had dinner there. It is a requirement to see a movie there you must buy at least one item per person, but they have candy, popcorn, fountain drinks, pizza, sandwiches, appitizers, alcoholic beverages anything. It was really kind of fun. They continue with the movie and the servers just check on you periodically during the movie and you get the bill just before you leave. I tell you it was the greatest thing I have ever seen in a movie theatre. After dinner and the movie we headed home to relax a little before bed.

Tues:

   Today on the list is work, home, grocery shopping and relaxing.
