“Strawberry Kisses”
This month has been a rollercoaster.
When the Colemans got here, I got the biggest hug I think I’ve ever had. After a couple of days, I began to realize that some friend of my brother’s might’ve had a little crush on me. It was quite entertaining, the way Shawn tried so hard to impress me. I must say, I’m flattered.
Anyways, the whole month was deja-vu. We went so many places we’d already been before: waterfalls, gardens, the Great Ocean Road. That last one was extremely tiresome.
But my favorite day on that trip must’ve been Apollo Bay. We actually rented a little cottage. It was very roomy and nice, except for the fact that my bed was all springs and no soft. I ended up sleeping on the couch. That day we went to the beach. It was very warm. Not terribly hot, but just right. The water, however, was cold. VERY cold. I never got used to it, even after I dunked myself under the salty waves and splashed around a bit. After I was waterlogged, I squished back to the shore, spread out a towel, and collasped for some R&R. The sand was soft, fine, and perfectly warm after the icy ocean. Forget the towel. I just layed on the sand and covered myself with the towel to prevent sunburn. It was the nicest nap I’ve ever had. When I woke, my hair was a mop of golden ringlets coated in sand… yuck. Not just my hair, I was coated in sand. After taking a shower, I realized that I’d gotten sand in places I didn’t even know about. No kidding.
Well, the days flew and now the Colemans have gone home.
These past couple of days have been pretty busy. First of all, I’ve been accepted at Haileybury and know what classes I’m taking. I’m taking Literature, Biology 3 and 4, Math Methods, and 20th Century History. Those are my core subjects but what I’m really excited about are my 2 electives: Drama and Musical Performance. I mean, how cool is that?!
Speaking of school, I just started getting my uniform yesterday. Both the summer and winter outfits show off what curves I have. Basically, it’s awesome! I have shoes and my book bag, as well.
James and I went bowling with Michael and some of his friends yesterday. He was a hot dog, acting all cool like he was the best. I stuck with the only other girl there, a little girl named Kristen. I stuck with her cuz the other boys weren’t so nice to her, particularly Michael. It was weird, though. Mom said that all the boys there couldn’t take their eyes off me. What’s going on???
That’s all I can say for now. Time to go get my textbooks.
