Joy, Gifts, and Mistletoe

I woke at exactly 2 am on Christmas morning. Like a child, I was too excited to sleep. I tossed and turned from 2 to 4 then finally turned on my lamp to write til 5. At 5, my parents were up. I asked dad if I could go downstairs yet. I pouted when he asked me to sleep for another hour. I laid in bed til 6, then got permission to wake James up. When I did, he was ticked.

"6 am?! Are you insane?!"

Apparently.

"One more hour…"

Dad wouldn’t hear of it. We got James up and FINALLY trooped downstairs.

Christmas Gifts: Bike, 5 books, Sims 2 for PC, stationary, perfume, lotion, body wash, skirt, watch, and an I-pod Touch!

I screamed at that last one. It’s the coolest gadget I’ve ever had!

We went to eat Christmas dinner at one of the church elder’s houses. It was the first time I ever popped a party cracker. Out came paper crowns, plastic toys, and jokes. Dessert was prolly the best part. A beautiful gingerbread house had been made, covered with "lollies". There were lots of other sweets but that one took the cake, pun intended. We sang songs, told stories, and gave presents. That’s when I unwrapped the only notebook I got this Christmas.

Here’s an amazing Christmas miracle: JUSTIN WAS ON FACEBOOK THAT DAY! I actually had a chance to chat with him! It made me realize something unique: even though I broke up with him, he wasn’t bitter toward me at all. This is the first guy who still treated me 100% well after the break-up. He’s moved on (and I don’t know wether I’m happy about that or not) to a sweet girl named Maddie. He says that she’s fun and her family approves of him. He also says that she’s alot like me (again, I don’t know if I’m happpy about that).

I’m just glad he’s happy. If we can one day glue our relationship back together, I’ll do whatever I can to make sure we do.
