Doesn’t time fly?

Well, here we are past the middle of June already. My youngest daughter will be 13 in less than two weeks and she’s growing up way too fast for *my* comfort, but there we are. Hard to believe. She’s just finished grade 7, which means five more years of school and she’ll be done. My son graduated last year and is now out looking for work, uncertain what he wants to make of himself or his future. Mind you, few of us know at 19 what we’d like to be at 40, or we have an idea but have no idea how to get there. Still, these are his choices to make now, since I’ve already had my shot at 19. Same with my oldest daughter who is discovering that life as a 23 year old single mother isn’t the easiest path to walk, and although she loves her own daughter to pieces, Miss M is an obstacle to easy education and so on. My daughter has to consider what’s best for Miss M as well as for herself. Life is all about choices, isn’t it?

For me, life rolls on as it does. I’m working on the rewrite of the Torin and Yummy (renamed Yumi) story to submit to the same publisher who has Torin and Sunshine. I’m waiting for the book to make its way along the queue to an editor. No word yet from the agent who has the Bailey Sullivan book, and I sent out a couple of short stories to different markets and waiting to hear about them, too. Same with queries for articles. Nothing good is easy, I guess.

Okay…deletion fended off once more.

Time is really flying by this month…

at 50+ I don’t know what I want to do with my future and even if I found out there would be all those young people out there telling me I was too old. I hope you start getting some responses on the books.

wishing you luck on the book

drat, just wrote a whole note that vanished on me. it seems like just yesterday that Miss M.’s mother was a toddler herself. It is a different kind of thing this parenting of adults, 19 is indeed old enough to make their own choices but i still find it hard to stand aside and let them get on with it. sending greetings to you and the big “kids” from all of us to all of you.

Well…Hello, stranger.Kidding aside,it was a nice surprise to see your name in my notes and then on the list of favs.Sounds as though life is on it’s usual track;young people see it as ‘brand new’ and we’ve ‘been there, done that’.Eagerly awaiting more “Torin” story but I’d never put pressure on you.Oh No!Not me!Not ever! (Now,get busy) LOL&lol 🙂
