too much internet

I spend too much time surfing mindlessly, just wandering around in cyberspace.  I do have my favorites that I like to visit almost every day but then I end up surfing here and surfing there and before I know it another day has passed and the bathroom still needs cleaning etc.  etc.

I finished the endless tube hat and it turned out pretty well and only took about a month to complete.  I have tried 2 or 3 times now to cast on socks that were to be my item  #5 for Dulaan.  However, I think I am going to rip them out again.  I finally got a not too tight cast on edge and the damn thing looks too loose and not sturdy or well knit, grrrr.  I continue to be obsessed with dish cloth cotton and to knit more ATCs in different variegated yarns.  Who knew that i had so many different colourways.  I did get a couple of new ones second hand and did get a couple of other ones from a friend and I discovered a full ball of a different rainbow colour in my stash the other day:)  That brings me up to close to 20 different colourways without even counting the at least 5 (or more) solid colours that I have too.  I even knit a fullsized dish cloth last month.  I have to try and master another lacy kind of pattern, I love this one but variety in pattern in nice too.  I prefer the variegated yarns and simple patterns to the solid colours with intricate charted pictures that a lot of folks on my canadian dish cloths list seem to favour.  Yes that’s right, an entire yahoogroups list devoted to canadians who knit dish cloths.  So what, it makes me happy so it can’t be all bad.

I discovered that you can only suggest 10 books per month at the public library, well humph.  I’ll just have to use my husband’s card then too.  I did get my mom to order some of the fairy books my daughter wants.  Oh, I forgot, she has a card too.  (chuckles evilly and goes off to suggest more books:):) )  well, maybe i will tomorrow.
