Another year already?

I haven’t written here in quite a while so I guess it is time that i do so.  I used to copy and paste my entries between this place and the competition but am just too lazy to even do that these days.  i guess after writing in these sorts of public journals for such a long time I have gotten pretty relaxed about it and don’t even try and collect my writings all in one place.
Last night was a very quiet night on the home front, just the dh and the dd and me like last year.  She was asleep before midnight.  I spent some time sitting in front of the wood stove with my knitting, working on another attempt at a blanket for ds#4 and an organic cotton dish cloth as i just recently gifted the 2 of those I had left. 
When it was a couple of minutes to midnight, dh and I stood out on the bank deck listening to people shouting and cheering in the distance and watching fireworks also in the distance as they lit up the sky.
Then ds #4 came back from his friend’s house and my dh went to pick up ds #3 from the party he had attended. 

I can’t believe that we are now in 2006, where have all the years gone!!!! I don’t make resolutions, just hoping to get it right one day at a time.  I will say though that in most areas of my life, knitting being a notable exception, I am not at all sad to see the end of 2005.
