Defiance in the face of.

I went to bed Tuesday night with a sunken feeling in my stomach. My long time friend and colleague Sean Smith was the first confirmed death in the attacks on Benghazi. That sunken feeling quickly turned to anger as I learned of the political posturing being taken over my friends death. It sickened me. It enraged me. Sean died protecting this country. His job was to erase all cryptographic data before leaving the compound. This is so our countries sensitive data does not fall into the wrong hands and further endanger American lives. He was a god damned hero and for this person – this evil person Mitt Romney – to use his death for political gain… There were no words. But that anger slowly subsided. The stories cropping up everywhere about him. About who he was to so many people. About his wife and his lovely children. And, about his political views. He stood diametrically opposed to Mitt Romney and everything that person believed.

My friend showed extraordinarry courage in the face of death. There are no words to express the hole you’ve left in this world, Sean, but know that you are loved and will forever be remembered.

The political posturing with events like this are major MAJOR influences on how I’m voting this year. I am SICK of this. This is no different than when Bush used Pat Tillman’s death as a propaganda piece. It’s sickening. *smh*
