A Touch of Madness
Another excerpt from the past, 2006ish. It’s always interesting for me to go back and read this stuff because it shows me how much I have or have not changed.
*sigh* A pent up artist, with no time or ambition to produce anything. Anybody with a creative streak inherently possesses passion. Mine has been repressed for some time now. Reality will try its best to kill it. It will take those dreams from you.
I once had a fire in me that was so strong that it practically flared out of my nostrils everytime that I breathed. The light it produced was so bright that it kept me blinded from reality.
I believed wholeheartedly that I was meant for something. My passion was one of a kind. It guided everything I did with a touch of madness.
I miss the intensity. I want to revel in the glory of it, full-fledged and unadulterated. I stood out before. I miss the naivete I had. With every bit of wisdom comes a bit of bitterness. And I keep learning as the years keep coming.
Wisdom quells passion. It dulls the sharpest edges of the strongest emotions. While the cuts are never as deep, you can never fly as high. It clips your wings. I’d rather have the scars and keep my wings.
On a brighter note, now that I’m completely free from the negative influences of that particular time of my life, I think my creativity is returning.
A non-answer about possible answers? Really? I didn’t expect such a cop-out from one such as you! You can surely do better. ;] I’ll tell you what. I’ll give you the stars if you give a good answer. ;d

I feel I should mention that I also don’t agree with the perception that poetry is not yours once presented. There is a definite meaning and a CORRECT point of view regarding it. The others are simply false, a coloration from the reader that has nothing to do with the actual piece.

The idea that personal interpretation is the meaning behind, well, just about anything really, is foolish, self-centered and shortsighted IMO. There is always right and wrong. I think they tell people that just to encourage them to talk and express themselves.

How is Dragon Age by the way? I was looking for a game the other day and saw it, just wasn’t sure. I’m a big fan of most of the Final Fantasies, how does it compare?

RYN: Had a conversation with some of the other neighbors (the ones I like) and they too, have had issues with “the bitc*es” downstairs. Turns out they’re equally as aggressive with them as well….Next time, I don’t plan on being so nice. I’ve put up with their shi* for far too long. “Nice” only gets you but so far sometimes. I’ve tried being calm, and I’ve tried being reasonable. Time to turn upthe heat…LOL.

The Watchmen is an excellent graphic novel. The movie didn’t have as much of an impact on me, but movies tend not to mostly. Thank you for the notes, by the way! I will add you to my friends list.

I played on and off for about 2 years. 🙂 it was fun, but I`m bored of it now and none of my friends really play anymore.
