Reorganize
So another boring day passes by. I didn’t do much of anything exciting. I missed my counseling appointment, though… which I really hated, but I had to stay for French longer than expected. Hopefully we can meet sometime soon. Anyways, work was tedious and incredibly frustrating with this new kid working with me. Well, he’s not exactly new, but he’s extremely annoying. He tries to do everything right away and by himself even though he’s extremely clumsy about it. It took us two hours to finish 6 meters because he insisted on doing everything his way and would keep screwing up every time he’d put a meter back together. I could have done it alone and had about 30 done by then. Anyways, I let him have his way since I only had to work with him today. BLAH!
I stopped by the guitar shop after work and talked with the guys there about any books they’d recommend so that I can improve my guitar skills and learn some more theory. I didn’t see anything particularly interesting, so I was just randomly talking to one of the guys, Jerry, about electric guitars and he said he gives lessons there. He’s only $10/half hour which isn’t bad AT ALL So, I’m contemplating taking some lessons from him. He really knows what he’s doing and really seems interested in teaching rather than just teaching because he needs the money. I may go ahead and start donating plasma a little more often and take him up on lessons. I could easily pay for it that way.
The missionaries came over again tonight. Allison and I both had a lot of questions for them, and I’m finding myself feeling more and more drawn to everything they’re teaching us. I am (and so is Allison) very impressed with their knowledge of scripture and doctrine and they’ve done an awesome job finding out answers to the more difficult questions we ask them. We’re meeting again with them on Thursday night, so we’ll have more time to discuss lots of stuff. Oh, and I was surprised to hear that apparently the MTC has cut the discussions down from 6 to 4. They’ve reorganized the lessons in a much better fashion. Anyways, I’m tired. Goodnight!
Yes, “Preach My Gospel” is amazing. I can testify to that fact firsthand, having been able to use it while I was on the mish. ~~
