to be continued

I sit quietly and listen to the thunder as I look out into the blackness filled with light, somewhere out there is the return point.

Destiny decreed a path far different than what I have in mind, but then when committed to the Cross my choices were not my own;my will subjugated to the whims of powers intransigent in their assumed divinity, now awake from a brumal eternity the choices are purely my own, most likely Destiny and those who served are but dust and their judgments carry no further voice,..

Looking around to the interior of my crypt I marvel that it still is intact after all these eons, like a stone suspended in midair, pristine and untouched, and with my person in a different suspension at it’s core, a chrysalis of symbiotic entropy, each enduring because of the other,

Deciding that the time of contemplation was done, and that the mandate of return needed to be put into action I stood headed to the control room to inveigle the other occupant of my prison; as I passed running my fingers over the embossed letters on the latch-plate of my coffin the words clear in my mind, “Cross Cryogenic Systems” and was thankful again that those in power eschewed the archaic mode of simply killing their opponents, and while true their gambit removed me as a challenge to their empire and it’s machinations, I was far from finished with the game, and due to a minor happenstance that required my unique resources the cards were now stacked for a new hand,.

And it was my deal.

I learnt a new word- brumal. I do like it when that happens. For some reason I also like “Out there is the return point” It makes me think.
