a river runs through it,..
last week i shoveled 30 ton of crushed rock,..friday my back made me stop, people give me crap about overdoing it, but my instincts were on edge,i felt driven to get the pipe and stone in the trench, a lot of off and on heavy rain was in the prediction for the next week or so, and my weather sense called it right, my main concern was the open trench, given enough water would collapse and complicate the project beyond reason.
this is why i trust my inner voice,.
that brown line is a rivulet about 3′ across and an inch and a half deep,.
now excuse me, i’m going to hobble off and smugly refill my coffee.
I should plant a garden and build a chapel… You reminded me that I need some coffee. Time to take a trip to the kitchen. 😀

Nothin’like trusting your gut, huh?

Obeying your instincts is often the surest way to truly accomplish something. You have done a great job.

If you have dry boards in your barn, then the back will heal nicely! Well done!!

The satisfaction in knowing you made the correct choice.

RYN stubbornness and plastique: What do I say? Thank you? 🙂 Though you have a point. Explosives are starting look intriguing.

Good work. I’m glad you can still hobble.

No out jack. My husband also looked. I have an all-in-one retro stereo with turntable, CD player and tape player and radio. I think it was bought at Office Max or Staples for about $75 on sale, some years ago. I haven’t been able to order record needles for it either. So annoying…

thanks for the software tips. Will check out!

Hope you can squeeze in a long hot bath to ease your back. Good work on finishing that before the deluge hit!

Hot tub and a massage is my prescription, or at least a soak in the bath and a rest. Good for you getting it done. I tend to do things in spurts myself…not for any good reason such as you had but it seems to be the way I am wired.

RYN: Heat affects a lot of people that way. Almost every summer we tease each other and say we’re moving to western Montana, but then we consider and winters and chicken out.

“If you have dry boards in your barn, then the back will heal nicely! Well done!! [Madam_Sassy_Pants]” For some reason my mind immediately changed this to “If you have dry heaves in your barn…” and then I couldn’t stop laughing, and I forgot what I was going to say. Something about your note, and you have thicker skin than mine, but I am working on getting to a healthy amountof “forcefield protection”. Not defending, just not believing that it is a popularity contest, like you say.
