This was from yesterday…

Well… I can’t say NOTHING’S happened since I last wrote… but not much has.

Went home, had a lovely break where all I really did was watch fireworks and relax with friends, and came back and promptly worked again.

I’ve had a couple of days off this week, but on one of them I house shopped with Pat again.  This time, he found the house he plans on buying, I think.  He discussed it with Sarah, and may have even put in the offer today.

However, I think I’m being replaced >.<

A girl with a Masters in folklore and literature said she’d be willing to move here to Point to work for him.  He told her she was over qualified and probably wouldn’t be paid enough, but she said she didn’t care about the money; she was considering the Peace Corps if this didn’t work.  So she’s moving here and having a trial period, and Pat said he’s keeping me on for a few things, but she’ll probably be doing the most work, what with not having school, another job or even friends going on to keep her busy otherwise.

So that’s as far as got saved last night.  I went on to mention that Pat says he’ll keep me on for a few random odd jobs, and that it’s kinda okay, cause with school and keeping my job at Perkins and such, I’ll be busier than sin.

Then I complained that I had to work at 6 in the morning and that, although it was only 8.20, I really needed to consider going to bed.

Which I tried to do at about 10, and struggled immensely.  I apparently really wasn’t ready to sleep.  I woke up at 5, went to work, got my butt handed to me, it got slow, I got my butt handed to me again, and then it got slow again… and I went home at 4, only about 45 minutes later than scheduled.

There’s a new restaurant in town called Tuscany, and I went there with Nathan after work, and it was WONDERFUL.  I’m a big fan, and it’s a really nice place too.  I had a customer come in and tell me that she hope Perkins would make it now that that place was there… which I think is going a bit far, but that’s just cause Perkins is a big chain, and we’ve survived the last 3 restaurants where this place is.

Tiff got tickets for us for the Harry Potter midnight premier in Wausau, AND I actually don’t work that day or the next so I’ll be in the clear 🙂

I’m hoping to go grilling/swimming tomorrow… since I feel like I kinda wasted today by being inside working all day.
Although here I am sitting inside at just after 6 while the sun is still shining…
