I hate to say it but…

I really don’t have anything exciting to say (as usual).

Minor mental meltdowns due to irritation with my life at the moment.  There’s only been one day out of the past week and a half where I haven’t been constantly nursing Colie (not that I hold it against her, but being optimistic while she keeps shutting down everything I say, keeping myself from gonig "FINE, JUST GIVE UP IF YOU’RE SO DAMN DETERMINED IT’LL NEVER BE BETTER", it’s harder than I thought).  And working full-time doing nothing particularly fun or exciting (working outside in 90 degree/70% humidity) gets old after a while.

My weekends haven’t been relaxing lately, but this weekend WILL be.  Dammit.

I stopped at the library with a list of 10 books I wanted to read at some point this summer… they didn’t have 3 of them at all, like hadn’t even heard of them, and 3 more were checked out… so I came home with Catcher in the Rye, Neverwhere, The Last Unicorn, and Something Wicked This Way Comes.  They’ll probably be read in that order.  But I’m still kinda sucking at reading, on account of being distracted by little things/my sister today, and not having time yesterday before bed.  And tonight is the season premier of Project Runway, so no can do 🙂

Still going crazy over this whole "Nathan works overnights" thing.  When he tells me "sleep well" I have to remind myself not to say "you too" and instead reply "have fun at work!"  And he’s not always awake by the time I get out of work; I worked almost an hour late tonight and he still wasn’t awake till after I’d been home for a while.  And, you know, I spend a lot of time traveling between sites, and I’m never the one driving, so it would have been prime text-message-conversation time.  But he’s sleeping.

My mom got the phone bill not that long ago… and along with it came a detailed outgoing text message log.  Two full pages (that I saw) of essentially just Nathan’s phone number.  There were 3 other numbers hidden in there (Tiff, Dan and my sister-in-law Hilary) but there weren’t very many of each (3, 3, and 1, respectively).

I so need a life.
