WHOO

After registering for classes a week ago, I have finally managed to settle on a schedule.  This is my third schedule I’ve made up, but I’m really excited about next semester.

I once again skipped out on Bio 100.  I don’t care if I have to take that my super senior year, or maybe during Winterim or summer, there are too many awesome things to take right now.

I’m holding off on another English class because ONE section of it is writing emphasis, and since I need to take 2 different writing emphasis classes before I can graduate, I figure I may as well kill two birds with one stone.

So my schedule next semester looks like this :

Monday
Spanish 211 10-11
History 177 11-12
Choir 1-2
English 353 6.30-9

Tuesday
English 349 9-10
Spanish 211 10-11
English 284 2-3.15

Wednesday
Spanish 211 10-11
History 177 11-12
Choir 1-2

Thursday
English 349 9-10
Spanish 211 10-11
Choir 1-2
English 284 2-3.15

Friday
English 349 9-10
History 177 11-12

Now, you may be saying to yourself "Amanda, that looks like a lot of classes!"  And to be completely honest, it is.  It’s 17 credits worth, to be precise.  But let me explain.

My English classes really couldn’t be better.  I’m sure they’re going to be hard as hell, but still… they’re classes I’m interested in.  284 is Ethnic Literature, a class I’m required to take to graduate, which most people have to fight to get into until the semester before they graduate.  So I feel somewhat relieved.  349 is Editing and Publishing which is definitely what I’d like to go into if I decide to give up on the School of Education for some reason; plus I’ve only ever heard good things about the class and the professor.  And last but not least, 353 is Advanced Creative Writing, which I have to actually take both sections of for my minor, so I might as well take it right after 253.

History… well, I have a feeling that if this course load overwhelms me, that’s gonna be the first thing I drop.  The professor’s a cool guy (I started this class and dropped it this semester so I already had him), it’s just that American History isn’t exactly riveting to me.

And Spanish.  First off, if RateMyProfessors.com is at all accurate, this professor is absolutely AMAZING.  Plus, I effing MISS Spanish.  I took it for about 6 straight years before college, and suddenly I just stopped.  I’ve been planning on throwing a Spanish minor on (just to ensure I never graduate), and if I pass this class with at least a B, I’ll almost have all the credits for that DONE.  I’d have to take one more semester’s worth of Spanish, and I’d have all the credits necessary for a minor.  That simple.  So here’s hoping >.<

In other news… I have homework to be getting to.  Thankfully, my English class for tonight was canceled (for I think the 3rd time all semester, which is a lot for a once-a-week class), so I have plenty of time to write and read tonight.  It’ll be lovely.

I managed to work overnight the last two nights in a row, so I’ve slept a total of about 6 hours since Sunday morning.  Two of which were between 6.15 and 8.15 this morning.  Strangely enough, I’m feeling pretty decent still.  Last week after writing about how easy it was to be awake at 6.40, I kinda crashed.  I struggled to stay up through English and class registration, and did practically nothing for the rest of the day but sleep.  But today I’m doing pretty well.  As long as I get that paper done relatively early, I can probably get a decent a mount of sleep in tonight too 🙂

I suddenly feel incredibly relieved about the rest of my college education.  Which is silly, because I clearly have a lot of work ahead of me.

RYN: Thanks for the heads up. I’ll keep an eye out for taste in fine shoes and interior design. He is /remarkably/ colour co-ordinated, though, so I’ll put up the high-alert. 😉

awesome. All I ask is that it’s paid to have them shipped. They’re in perfect condition. I was really anal about her wearing a bib when we fed her.

RYN: Alright.. Well send the cash whenever you want the clothes. Even if you want to wait two weeks or so. Because she might grow out of the rest of her newborn clothes by then and your sister will have some nice clothes for summer time too. whenever I receive the money I will send the clothes. I will keep putting things in there until then. Sound good to you?

RYN: I will also include NB size diapers by pampers. I opened the pack put one diaper on her and they didn’t fit her the way I wanted.. So I have a whole pack them too

I heart rate my prof. Oh and I topped out at 22 credit hours with two jobs, I know you can handle it. I hate college. I’m so over it.
