Geeksploitation

I think it’s time.  It’ll come off like a bit of a filler entry, but it truly isn’t.  Quite frankly, this may help people really get to the heart of just who I is exactly.  I mean, you can’t really know a person without knowing what they like, right?  Well, this will be perhaps the greatest window into what I like anyone will have ever laid eyes on (unless you happen to have seen my room, which I can presume, none have).  So here you are…a giant list of all things Dave….owns.

Video Games
Nintendo (NES) – Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3, Mega Man 1-4, Double Dragon 2, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, Punch Out (the re-release after the Tyson license ran out), Ikari Warriors, The Legend of Zelda, Castlevania 2, Amagon (the gayest game EVER), The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Arch Rivals, Ice Hockey, and Super C.
Sega Genesis – Eternal Champions, Prime Time NFL Football, Sega College Football, and the greatest game ever, NHL ’94.
Super Nintendo – NHL ’93 and ’94, Super Mario World, Yoshi’s Island, Ken Griffey Major League Baseball, WWF Raw, WWF Wrestlemania, WWF Royal Rumble, Super Smash TV, Super Mario Kart, and some other stuff I can’t remember.  Will has all my SNES games at his house.
Nintendo 64 – Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Gauntlet Legends, WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy, Mario Kart 64, South Park Racing, WCW World Tour, WCW Revenge, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, and Mario Part 2 and 3.  Will has most of my N64 games, too, so there might be more.
PlayStation (PS1) – Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid:  VR Missions, Final Fantasy Chronicles (Chrono Trigger!), Chrono Cross, Star Ocean:  The Second Story (2nd best game ever), Castlevania:  Symphony of the Night, Madden 2000, NHL 2000, NCAA Football 2000, Knockout Kings, NHL Face-off ’98 and ’99, and WWF In Your House.
Sega Dreamcast – Soul Calibur, NFL 2K1, NHL 2K, NBA 2K1, Shenmue, Virtua Tennis, Tennis 2K2, Ganutlet Legends (yes, I have it for two systems), and NBA Showtime.
Gamecube – Soul Calibur 2, Mario Kart:  Double Dash, Harvest Moon:  A Wonderful Life, Godzilla:  Destroy All Monsters Melee, Super Monkey Ball 2, Viewtiful Joe, Metal Gear Solid:  The Twin Snakes, The Simpsons:  Hit and Run, Mario Golf:  Toadstool Tour, and The Legend of Zelda Collection Edition (contains Zelda 1, 2, Ocarina of Time, and Majora’s Mask).
PlayStation 2 – Kessen 1 and 2, Dynasty Tactics 1 and 2, Dynasty Warriors 3, 3XL, 4, and 4 XL (the XL meaning “Xtreme Legends”…it’s an expansion pack), Samurai Warriors, Metal Gear Solid 2, SSX Tricky, Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution, Mortal Kombat:  Deadly Alliance, Sega Soccer Slam, NHL 2004, Madden 2003, NCAA Football 2003, Beyond Good and Evil, Hitman 2, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, Dragonball Z:  Budokai, and Max Payne.

As you can see, I’ve long had a prediliction towards sports games, but that is no longer true.  I really hate the new ones now.  I just got done throwing my controller because of NHL 2004.  Sports games aren’t fun anymore.  They’re like work.  Who needs that?  Simplistic is king.  I don’t have a lot of my favorite games, either.  Final Fight 3, River City Ransom, an actual SNES cartridge of Chrono Trigger, Tecmo Bowl, and so on, and so forth.  I’ve gotten way more into RPG’s lately.  I’m ready to get my hands on Tales of Symphonia and Star Ocean:  Till the End of time.  Sadly, they don’t come out until July and August, respectively.  Also, I keep inching closer and closer to buying an X-Box.  There are a few games on it I’d like to play.  No one I know has one, so I’m kind of stuck there.

Moving on…

My movie collection is almost too big for this, but that won’t stop my ass.  Deep breath…

VHS – Happiness, No Holds Barred, Leonard Part 6, The Breakfast Club, Clerks, Mallrats, Highlander, Highlander 2 (2 copies), Pie in the Sky, Revenge of the Nerds, John Carpenter’s Vampires, The Shawshank Redemption, Girl Interrupted, Office Space, Dogma, Fight Club, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Fletch, Sense and Sensibility, Orgazmo, The Late Shift, Manhunter, Mothra, Godzilla 1985, Destroy All Monsters, Primary Colors, and the entire Godzilla Heisei series (the movies from 1989-1995).

The DVD’s I may have to be short with…there’s over 100, easily.  I just include the ones I actually really like or think are interesting.

DVD – Godfather trilogy, Family Guy Box Sets (both), Clerks Animated Series, Trois Coleurs trilogy, Blar Witch 1 and 2, Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Highlander 1, 2, and 4 (Endgame), Citizen Kane, Amelie, Magnoila, Punch Drunk Love, Vampire Hunters, Vampire Effect, Interview With the Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Pyrokinesis, Ghostbusters 1 and 2, Ghost World, American Beauty, Star Wars Ep. 2, Life as a House, Pulp Fiction, South Park movie, Pumpkin, The Others, Birthday Girl, The Jerk, Mystery Men, Spider-Man, Spuer Dave movie, Wag the Dog, Brotherhood of the Wolf, The Matrix, The Ice Storm, Chasing Amy, Good Fellas, Ghosts of Mars, The Seven Samurai, Apocalypse Now Redux, Stigmata, Shrek, Groundhog Day, Kissing Jessica Stein, Silence of the Lambs, GI Joe: the Movie, Blade, American Psycho, Underworld, Scarface, Finding Nemo, About a Boy, High Fidelity, Nurse Betty, Iron Monkey, Shanghai Knights, Being John Malkovich, Cannibal:  The Musical, UHF, Donnie Darko, The Man Who Wasn’t There, The Big Lebowski, Dead Alive, Memento, BASEketball, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Scarlet Street, Mortal Kombat:  Annihilation, The Exorcist, The ’90’s Gamera Trilogy, Godzilla Millenium Series (both US releases and Hong Kong releases…I’m a dork), Godzilla Box Set (5 of the older movies), Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (German release…I’m a dork), Gammera the Invincible, King Kong vs. Godzilla, (now for the anime) Excel Saga Vol. 1-6, Love Hina Vol. 1, 2, and 4, plus a box set of the 3 movies, Azumanga Daioh Vol. 1, Puni Puni Poemy, and finally, Ghost in the Shell.

Whew.  And I left quite a few DVDs out, because I got a lot I don’t much care for.  I wanted to do CDs, too, but I can see that’ll have to be for some other bored night.  That shit would never fit in here anyway.  There’s like a hundred of those, too.  So, in closing, what does all this tell you?  I’m a geek, dork, or nerd, that’s what!  And I’m proud of it!

“What’re you lookin’ at, nerd?!  Huh?!”

Sayonara.
