It’s Official
I decided we’re going to move.
Adam’s friends Johnny and Bobby own a house on the other side of town (a nice side!) and they have a ton of extra space. They’ve been basically begging Adam and I to move in for a couple months now. I’m not 100% sure I want to move in with them just because I’m tired of having roommates and I just want a place on our own, but it will be saving us probably around $700 or more a month in rent and bills.
The rent is $250 a month with utilities included. Its in a secluded part of town with a real front yard, a real backyard, garage space, and privacy! So its nice place the only downside is that I’m tired of people being around constantly. I’m really tired of having roommates and am ready to just be on our own. Sadly, we aren’t financially stable to be on our own and can’t seem to find an apartment for cheaper than $550 a month rent. We’re paying $625 a month now with a roommate so even $100 isn’t going to do us very good and we’d end up having to find another roommate anyway.
At least this way, we can start saving money. We dont have to worry about any real bills and we’d get $700 security deposit back plus another $500 in water and electricity deposits. So that initial $1200 back would go straight into a savings account for a new, safer car and then after the car we can start saving money drastically and focus on trying for a baby in a few months.
We move at the end of June so I have to completely pack up and clean the house between now and then! I’m gonna be so fuckin stressed out, even more than normal!
But I think its the best financial decision we have right now and I just gotta keep thinking about what its going to lead to in the future.
Hope everyone is well!
RYN: I hope you’re right!!

RYN: Thanks for the note; you’re right, I should be allowed to have my own emotions and be able to vent them…I know I don’t do it often enough or in the right way so I would say that’s a problem too. And just reading the pros vs the cons of moving would be something I would jump on if in the same situation. Roommates suck, but being broke sucks more! đŸ™‚

RYN: I used the Grocery store to cash my checks. They only took $1 from it… I’m just tired of having it around because then I just spend it like it’s free and end up screwing myself. I don’t agree with a LOT of banks like Bank Of America… but the one Im with now I really liked before and like now. They’re not as bad. đŸ™‚

moving really really sucks!!! but saving money is great! i think it will work out, hopefully if there is more space you wont be right on top of each other even though you have roomies.

Definitely can’t beat 250/month, sounds like a great plan (even though you’ll have roomies for a little while longer). Good luck!
