Well Shit

Our trip to Michigan was cancelled at the last minute. The car started having a few problems and we didn’t anticipate for gas to cost almost $4 a gallon. It was going to cost us $300 in gas alone and that was about all the money we had. We debated about it for an hour and when I found out that we only had like $300 total I said no. With that kind of money, I would be worried that we wouldn’t even make it back home. 

Plus we have to pay rent soon and we need to save more money than that. I wish Adam wouldn’t have tried to pay off all the bills before we left. 🙁 

Jessica’s pissed at me; but to be honest I don’t really care at this point. I’m a little frustrated and angry with her and the way she’s acting. She’s acting like a spoiled brat. Whining about the fact that we don’t have money to come see her for her birthday and that we wouldn’t drive an extra 5 hours to come see her at college when she was going to be in town the very next day. I’m sorry that I dont have everything handed to me on a platter like she does. I work hard and I barely get anything. It’s more important to me that my family survives and is happy. That’s just… the bottom line. It doesn’t seem like she’s respecting my life at all. We both live different lives now and I’m trying hard to understand hers and respect hers but it feels like she’s just shitting all over mine. It’s frustrating.

On the bright side, we can get some things done around the house while we’re on vacation and look at places to move and stuff like that. And we’re replanning the trip for the summer, which would work out SO much better. We can camp out and be able to see our extended family too. If we save money, we wouldn’t have to worry about taking a week off work. 🙂 I’m looking forward to the summer so much more than the cold spring. Things just kept going so wrong. I’m partially glad we didn’t go.
