i went jogging for the first time in like a year this morning

i had to slow down a few times because i have been so freakin fat lately

 

last week we went over to ben’s for board game night and it was ok

there were people smoking gravity bongs and gas masks

not my kind of crowd, really

and we played monopoly, which is probably the worst game we could’ve played, and also a hilarious example of why business and economics are kind of a fail for human beings

i am cynical again but that is from being around people too much

i swear i am not as much of a crab as i sound in here

the people there were actually not that bad, i am just being a wet blanket

there was this girl, jess, that i went to high school with who was really nice to me

and a girl named katie that lived there who said she liked my hair

i told her to get kyle to cut her hair because he does mine

but there is always that group of people that come and change the atmosphere

like crusty punks

 

but we tried a different version of irish car bombs – with o’mara’s irish cream and black n’ tans

it was like delicious rootbeer floats

 

this past weekend we went camping with chris and felicia and the dogs at a place in jefferson county

it was a nice area by a creek that they are going to turn into a giant swimming pool in the summer

 

i am back on track with school, i think

i made a teapot in ceramics with a spout that looks like an elephant trunk

we are working on coil vessels right now and i think by the end of it i will have arthritis

in book structures we are making these sweet pamphlet books, some with cloth hardcovers that we made

and apparently i wasn’t on allison’s email list so i missed the message that the due date for the folded books was postponed

i kind of rushed to make copies for it so it is good that i can re-do some of those

i made a quote book with the title The Way Out (stolen from the books!) and it is pretty rad

i was thinking about leaving my extra copies around campus like on benches and in bathroom stalls or something

SPREADING MESSAGES OF PEACE TO THE WORLD!

 

i am reading slaughterhouse five for the first time and i have to say it is not what i expected

but i am liking the time travels and billy’s "whatever" philosophy

 

lewis came over last night and we watched new futurama episodes

then kyle and i went out to get coffee

i haven’t been into it for the past few years but lately it has been helping me not be a slob

i just don’t think it is cool that people use the lack of coffee as an excuse for their incompetence at work (i’ve seen it a lot)
