love is simple

it is finally starting to get cooler in the mornings

and the air seems lighter

 

school has been pretty good

i kind of freaked about it at first because i didn’t do ANYTHING really during the summer

except, you know, whatever i wanted to

so it was kind of overwhelming, not to mention the intense learning of a new language

but i think i am starting to have more control over this now

which is nice

 

i have already done a folded book project for my printmaking class

we had to make multiples by photocopying

mine was SUPER colors, complete with cats and jellyfish and eyeballs and spacemen

it was fun, and our next project is relief so we are making woodcut prints! so psyched

 

i’m also taking digital color theory, which is really interesting and sciency

the idea of color has been blowing my mind lately because of it

and my teacher is this older intelligent hippie kind of dude

he always makes sure i’m doing ok because i am not a digital design student, hah

 

i made a couple friends in my art history class!

one is a sweet freshman girl in studio art named sam

and the other is a girl in apparel design named dani, or she also goes by evolet (hah)

the latter is very unique, she makes avant garde fashion

she told me she was excited to meet me because i am a "funky girl" haaaaa and i’m asian and sew and we went to the same french competitions in high school

tomorrow after my first class i am leaving for jacksonville because saturday my sister is getting MARRIED
